  • Patent number: 4446035
Abstract: Compositions of matter useful in the manufacture of superior cleaning and fabric treating compositions, bleaches, and the like, comprise amino-silane compounds in combination with ingredients such as cationic fabric softeners, or detersive surfactants, or bleach or the like.Such compositions are especially useful in aqueous fabric laundering baths and in combined fabric drying/softening operations since the amino-silane provides a protective effect to the surface of the washing machine or dryer. The compositions are also useful in the formulation of porcelain-safe toilet cleaners, machine- and hand-dishwashing compositions that protect fine chinaware, and for similar uses wherein silicate or metal surfaces come in contact with harsh chemicals, especially in the presence of hot water.

  • Patent number: 4416793
Abstract: Neutral to alkaline liquid detergent compositions containing organic surface-active agents, optionally detergent builders, and additive levels of particular amino-silanes are disclosed. These compositions provide outstanding washing machine compatibility, particularly if the detergent is used in conjunction with enamel-coated surfaces.

  • Patent number: 4416794
Abstract: A liquid rinse aid for use in automatic dishwashing machines comprises a low foaming ethoxylated nonionic surfactant, an organic chelating agent, a hydrotrope-water solubilizing system and 0.05-10%, by weight of the rinse aid, of an amino-silane.

  • Patent number: 4285841
Abstract: Builder-free highly concentrated homogeneous fatty acid containing liquid detergent compositions are disclosed. The surface-active system in addition to the fatty acids also contains substantial amounts of anionic sulfonate/sulfate detergents and nonionic ethoxylates. The compositions are mildly acid to neutral and are capable of providing unexpectedly superior textile cleaning benefits, especially on oily and bleach sensitive soils.

  • Patent number: 4147649
Abstract: Concentrated, stable, liquid, heavy duty detergent composition containing an ethoxylate of a primary alcohol of from 14 to 22 carbon atoms and of at least 65% branched structure; an ethoxylate of a straight or branched, primary or secondary alcohol of 9 to 15 carbon atoms; a surfactant of the sulfonate type; and a liquid carrier. These compositions are especially adapted for stain and soil removal from fabrics, either by topical application to such fabrics prior to washing, or for a conventional fabric laundering.

  • Patent number: 4111855
Abstract: The present invention pertains to liquid homogeneous substantially unbuilt enzyme containing detergent compositions. These liquid compositions contain a major amount of a surfactant mixture comprising an ethoxylated nonionic surfactant and a synthetic anionic surfactant, a low level of a polyacid, free calcium ions, a proteolytic enzyme and a liquid carrier. The liquid compositions of this invention are from a performance standpoint comparable to granular built heavy duty detergent compositions. In respect to the comparable known liquid detergent state of the art, the compositions herein are capable of providing superior cleaning performance and excellent storage stability, particularly as regards the enzymatic activity.

  • Patent number: 4110262
Abstract: The present invention relates to liquid, concentrated, homogeneous, stable, heavy duty detergent compositions. Such compositions contain a polyethoxylated nonionic detergent compound, a minor amount of a polyacid having at least one pK value of at least 5.0, and a liquid carrier, whereby the pH of the liquid composition has a pH in the range between 6.0 and 7.5. The compositions can also contain mixtures of polyethoxylated nonionic detergent compounds, additional amounts of synthetic, anionic detergent compounds, minor amounts of brighteners, suds-regulating and pH-regulating agents, perfumes, dyes and other usual liquid detergent compound additives. Such compositions show enhanced cleaning performance, particularly on bleach-sensitive stains, and have excelled stability on storage.

  • Patent number: 4087369
Abstract: Granular peroxybleach activated detergent compositions are disclosed containing a crystalline activator component having a well-defined particle diameter and a narrowly defined rate of hydrolysis. These compositions have improved stability, particularly with respect to the activator, under prolonged, particularly alkaline, storge conditions. Peroxybleach activator agglomerates having a specific particle diameter and detergent compositions containing these agglomerates are also disclosed. The agglomerating agent is defined through its inertness versus the activator and also in its melting point. The bleach-activator detergent compositions of this invention are stable under prolonged (alkaline) storage thereby remaining substantially unchanged with respect to the appearance and performance characteristics of the freshly prepared detergent composition.
