  • Patent number: 4961536
Abstract: A pneumatic liquid spraying device comprising a spray nozzle with a liquid ejection channel, spraying air ejection channels and at least one entrainment air ejection channel coaxial and parallel to said liquid ejection channel, these channels emerging on the same frontal face of the nozzle, characterized in that at least one entrainment air ejection channel is independent of the other aforementioned air channels and is designed to be supplied by specific compressed air.

  • Patent number: 4921172
Abstract: An electrostatic sprayer device for spraying products in powder form comprises an air-powder mixture pipe with an ejector orifice at one end. It has a charging electrode adjacent this orifice and a counter-electrode coaxial with and to the rear of the charging electrode relative to the direction in which the mixture is ejected from the pipe. This counter-electrode is external to the pipe and substantially perpendicular to the axis of the pipe, with the result that an annular space is defined between the two electrodes and around the pipe. The electrodes have a potential difference applied between them to generate an electric field which attracts free ions towards the counter-electrode. A blower adjacent the counter-electrode discharges into the annular space formed between the two electrodes and around the pipe.

  • Patent number: 4797038
Abstract: A method of recovering powder, for example in a powder-coating installation, uses processing plant adapted to operate at a pressure different to atmospheric pressure. Powder accumulating in a receptacle communicating with the processing plant is fluidized and a pressure head of fluidized powder is created to compensate the pressure difference imposed by the processing plant. A corresponding powder recovery device comprises processing plant adapted to operate at a pressure different to atmospheric pressure, a receptacle for the powder, a substantially vertical column through which this receptacle communicates with the processing plant, and structure for fluidizing at least the powder in this column. The processing plant may comprise a cyclone type separator, in which case the column is a pipe extending the cyclone downwardly. Alternatively, the processing plant may comprise a box having an air inlet and an air outlet and filters between the air inlet and the air outlet.

  • Patent number: 4795094
Abstract: A powder product to be sprayed is conveyed by a stream of gas in a flexible conduit between a storage tank and a spray orifice from which a mixture of the gas and the product is ejected. The mixture is agitated upstream of and in the vicinity of this orifice by oscillating a section of the flexible conduit in the vicinity of this orifice. The powder product sprayer comprises a flexible conduit and a device for circulating a mixture of the product and the gas in this conduit. It further comprises an enclosure surrounding a section of the conduit and a device for oscillating this section of the conduit. The device for oscillating the conduit may comprise a vibrator fixed to this section of the conduit and free to move inside the enclosure. The vibrator may comprise an annular cage surrounding and fixed to this section of the conduit, a ball movable inside the cage and a device for injecting air into the cage in a direction adapted to cause movement of the ball inside the cage.
