Abstract: A package and two part blank for forming a package for carrying one or more articles comprising a carton having a plurality of wall panels for forming a tubular structure wherein each end of the carton is closed by a first panel hingedly connected to one of the wall panels, an intermediate panel hingedly connected to another wall panel of the carton and adapted to be placed in face contacting relationship within the inner face of the first panel. There further comprises within the carton an insert structure for supporting the one or more articles including a second panel. An aperture or recess is provided in the intermediate panel such that glue applied to an outer face of the second panel and the intermediate panel secures together said first, second and intermediate panels when placed together in face contacting relationship to close the end of the carton.

Abstract: A carton and blank for forming a carton of the top gripping type for accommodating a plurality of containers. The carton is tubular in structure and has top and base spaced, opposed panels. The base panel has apertures each for receiving a container. The base panel also has a foldable retaining tab hingedly connected thereto for operatively engaging part of the respective container. The carton also has a retaining structure depending from the top panel. The retaining structure comprises an engagement panel with an engaging edge to engage at least one of the containers.

The carton comprises a pair of superposed tray structures (70) which are connected together by a wrapper (10) having a handle structure (52). The trays each have a retaining keel (94) extending inwardly of the tray for retaining the center row of containers in an inwardly offset condition with respect to the adjacent rows of containers.

Abstract: A multi-compartment container for packaging a plurality of articles such as bottles, comprises two or more compartment units and a frangible connecting portion. Each compartment unit comprises a base panel, opposed side panels, opposed end panels and a top panel. Certain adjacent panels of the compartment units partly provide the frangible connecting portion so that removal of the connecting portion causes at least partial separation of the units and provides access for removal of the articles contained in the units. Upon removal of the connecting portion, at least a part of each panel of each compartment unit remains intact.

Abstract: A package comprises a plurality of articles, a strap and a carton of a tubular structure. The articles are arranged in a group of at least one row such that the longitudinal axes of the articles are disposed vertically and parallel to each other. The strap extends generally horizontally around the circumference of the group of articles to hold the articles together in a unit. The carton includes a top wall panel, a pair of side wall panels and a pair of secured base panels. The carton extends around the group of articles such that the side wall panels are disposed over the straight runs of the strap, respectively. At least one of the side wall panels has a restraining flap for limiting vertical displacement of the strap. The flap is hinged to the side edge of the one side wall panel and is folded inwardly of the tubular structure into the space between adjacent articles in the row to be disposed at a location vertically adjoining the adjacent straight run.
