  • Patent number: 10009842
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for controlling a device operating in several operating modes corresponding to different levels of power consumption and comprising a first and a second communication interface, said method being characterized in that it comprises the steps of activating said second communication interface upon receiving a first wake-up message via said first interface and receiving a second wake-up message via said second communication interface, said second wake-up message resulting in the exit from the low-power standby mode of the device.

  • Patent number: 9287932
Abstract: The external power supply comprises a modem, a power source for providing an operating voltage for the modem and a supply voltage for an appliance and a power safe control. The power safe control comprises a current sense element for sensing a supply current of the supply voltage and a threshold circuit coupled to the current sense element for switching off the operating voltage when the supply current is below a threshold value, and for switching on the operating voltage when the supply current is above the threshold value. The appliance is in a preferred embodiment a residential gateway or a set-top box and the modem a power line communication modem.

  • Patent number: 6240177
Abstract: The subject of the invention is a communications device connected in parallel with at least one item of communications apparatus on a transmission line (L1, L2). The device and the apparatus conform to a given template in terms of DC components. The device in accordance with the invention is characterized in that it comprises means (18, R1, R2, R3, D5, DZ) setting the operating point (X) in terms of DC component of the said device alone outside regions of the said template where the DC component of the current may be zero, means (R2, D6, D7, R4, 19, 20) of determining the DC component of the current flowing in the said device, means (20) of detecting a variation in the said DC current component. The invention applies particularly in the field of communication via the switched telephone network.

  • Patent number: 5398006
Abstract: A method of automatically controlling a loop comprising the steps of applying an input signal and an error correction signal to a signal correction circuit to provide a digital corrected signal. Applying the digital corrected signal and a reference signal to an error measurement circuit and providing a difference signal representative of the difference between the corrected signal and the reference signal. Applying the difference signal to a tri-state buffer having an output which is switchable to high impedance and passing the error correction signal to a correction circuit through an integrator and a local generator circuit. The buffer is switched to high impedance when the difference between the error correction signal and the reference signal is zero.

  • Patent number: 5138448
Abstract: A device for conversion of frame frequency and number of lines for a high-definition television receiver which receives input video signals corresponding to different standards and to output a high-definition signal at a desired frame frequency and with the desired number of lines. The device uses a pass-band reduction decoder processing the high-definition input 625/2:1/50 Hz video signals. It includes: a memory, a decoder, and a processing circuit. The memory stores the input video signal frames at a frequency which is a function of the frame frequency of the input signal. This memory is read at the frame frequency desired at the output. The decoder is a pass-band reduction decoder connected to the memory and gives separately at its outputs even and odd frames, respectively, of a decompressed high-definition video signal output at the frame frequency desired.

  • Patent number: 4553159
Abstract: Color television camera comprising a photosensitive matrix 10, covered by a trichrome matrix filter as well as two charge coupling registers 12, 13, one of which 12 is adapted to read the spots of uneven rank of each line and the other 13 is adapted to read the spots of even rank of lines. The filter is so designed that each register only stores one single color. The arrangement is such, for example, that the green color elements are aligned on vertical bands.
