Abstract: Disclosed are systems for interactive social shopping comprising: a digital processing device and a computer program that creates a social shopping toolbar comprising a module adapted to create a selection of items, wherein said items are selected from one or more web sites; and a social shopping web application comprising a module adapted to enable at least a first and a second user to simultaneously view an identical item from said selection of items, such that a live showroom is generated, and a module that enables the first and second user to interact with each other. Also disclosed are methods of creating a social shopping networking service and computer readable media encoded with programs to create the same.
