Patent number: 11561135Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for data processing and artificial intelligence (AI) techniques are described. A system may support person detection using an optical camera and temperature detection using a thermal sensor. The thermal sensor may determine a temperature reading corresponding to a tracker for a specific detected person. A processing device may update a current temperature for the tracker based on the temperature reading and may add the updated current temperature to a baseline. For example, the processing device may use AI techniques to manage one or more baselines supporting handling of differences and changes in ambient temperatures. The processing device may determine that the current temperature for the tracker satisfies an alert threshold and may trigger an alert procedure. For example, the processing device may use an active baseline to correct the current temperature from a skin temperature to a body temperature for comparison to a fever detection threshold.Type: GrantFiled: November 17, 2020Date of Patent: January 24, 2023Assignee: Kogniz, Inc.Inventors: Jed Putterman, Daniel Putterman, Bill Klein

Publication number: 20220277162Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for data processing and artificial intelligence (AI) techniques are described. A system may support person detection using an optical camera. For example, the optical camera may detect motion and the system may implement a neural network to determine if the motion corresponds to a person's body. If the system detects a person, the system may assign a tracker identifier (ID) to the person's body and convert the position of the body in the view of the camera to a position in a horizontal plane. Based on the horizontal view, the system may spatially track the person in an environment, including determining if the person interacts with other people within a threshold distance, whether there are any congestion points in the environment, or both. The system may trigger alert procedures based on the interactions, congestion points, temperature readings for one or more people, or any combination thereof.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 26, 2021Publication date: September 1, 2022Inventors: Jed Putterman, Daniel Putterman, Bill Klein

Publication number: 20200100081Abstract: A method includes identifying, by a mobile computing device associated with a user account, one or more unique identifiers. Each of the one or more unique identifiers is assigned to a corresponding electronic display device that the user account is authorized to access. The method further includes receiving, from an electronic display device that lacks a network connection, an unsolicited low energy radio signal having a first format of a unidirectional wireless communication protocol and including a unique identifier assigned to the electronic display device. Responsive to determining that the unique identifier matches at least one of the one or more unique identifiers, the method further includes establishing a wireless connection to the electronic display device using a bidirectional wireless communication protocol that is different from the unidirectional wireless communication protocol.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 30, 2019Publication date: March 26, 2020Inventors: Jed Putterman, Brandon S.
