  • Publication number: 20230124505
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for prevention or treatment of metabolic disease, administering a composition containing bone morphogenetic protein 10 (BMP10) as an active ingredient, in which brown fat differentiation was promoted in the cells of BMP10-treated mouse embryonic mesenchymal cell line C3H10T1/T2, increased browning effects of stromal vascular fraction adipose stem cells isolated from subcutaneous adipose tissue was confirmed, and weight loss, improved insulin resistance, and changes in blood lipid levels were confirmed in a high-fat-diet-induced obese animal model. Therefore, the composition containing BMP10 as an active ingredient can be provided as a drug for the prevention or treatment of metabolic diseases, including obesity, diabetes, and dyslipidemia.
