    Abstract: A ligation and specimen retrieval device is described for endoscopic use that includes a pouch defining a receptacle and having an open end and a closed end, a first suture member defining a first loop, a second suture member defining a second loop and a closure member positioned about the open end of the pouch. The device is transitionable from a non-deployed state in which the pouch and the first and second loops are positioned within a distal end of an outer shaft of the device to a deployed state in which the pouch and the first and second loops are positioned externally of the outer shaft of the device.
