  • Publication number: 20260300558
Abstract: A method provides techniques for supporting a privacy-focused notification management (PFNM) mode of operation of an electronic device that presents visual content and notifications on a display. The electronic device detects a presence of multiple persons potentially viewing the display and enters a PFNM mode of operation. The electronic device detects a connection to at least one personal second electronic device, and on receipt of an incoming notification while in the PFNM mode of operation, analyzes the incoming notification for sensitive content. Based on the incoming notification being deemed to contain sensitive information, the notification is suppressed on the electronic device. A personal second electronic device is queried to determine an active usage status. If the personal second electronic device is currently being worn/used, data corresponding to the incoming notification is sent to the personal second electronic device to discreetly indicate the message to a user.

  • Patent number: 12475668
Abstract: A computing device includes digital imaging functionality that captures images digitally using any of a variety of different technologies. The computing device receives an indication of, or determines, a distance between a physical location of a tag and an image capture module. The tag is a device that transmits and receives signals allowing one or more other devices to determine the physical location of the tag, such as an ultra-wideband tag. The computing device also includes a flash intensity determination system that automatically generates, based at least in part on the distance between the tag and the image capture module, a flash intensity for capturing a digital image.

  • Publication number: 20240362816
Abstract: An electronic device, a method and a computer program product for identifying objects in an image. The method includes capturing a first image within a field of view of a first camera of an electronic device and receiving object data from a second electronic device. The method further includes determining based on the first object data, if the first image contains a first tagged object within the field of view. In response to determining that the first image contains the first tagged object within the field of view, the method further includes mapping, based on the first object data, the first tagged object to a first pixel location within the first image and generating first meta-data associated with the first image. The method further includes storing the first image with the first meta-data to a memory of the electronic device.

  • Patent number: 12120431
Abstract: A computing device includes digital imaging functionality that captures images digitally using any of a variety of different technologies. The computing device receives an indication of, or determines, a physical location of a tag within a field of view of an image capture module and associates that physical location with a region of interest in the field of view. The tag is a device that transmits and receives signals allowing one or more other devices to determine the physical location of the tag, such as an ultra-wideband tag. The computing device also includes a parameter generation system that automatically generates, based at least in part on the region of interest associated with the physical location of the tag, one or more parameters for capturing a digital image. These parameters include, for example, an exposure setting, a white balance setting, and a focus setting.

  • Publication number: 20150168164
Abstract: Devices and methods for determining an optimal travel route from an origin to a destination for a first device are disclosed. In some embodiments, the method includes: determining an origin and destination for a travel objective and determining whether a user is on a phone call or predicted to be on a phone call during the travel objective using context information associated with the first device. When the user is on a phone call, the method determines a phone call duration using the context information associated with the first device and uses the phone call duration to determine an optimal travel route. When the user is predicted to be on a phone call and the phone call is predicted to be ongoing when a call drop point is encountered, the method determines a phone call duration using the context information associated with the first device, and uses the phone call duration to determine an optimal travel route.
