  • Patent number: 6318406
Abstract: A pilot operated safety relief valve (14) having a main piston valve member (26). A dome chamber (42) is provided in the valve body (18) over piston valve member (26) and a cap (44) forms a closure for dome chamber (42). A pilot valve (46) is mounted on the cap (44) and has a diaphragm actuated fluid inlet sensing tube (60) received within a bore (30) of the piston valve member (26). Inlet fluid pressure is communicated through bore (61) of sensing tube (60) to the inlet fluid sensing chamber (84) on the outer side of diaphragm (65). Exhaust chamber (56) is positioned between dome chamber (42) and inlet sensing chamber (84). Adjustment spring (67) continuously urges O-ring (72) in dome chamber (42) to a seated position on seat (70). An annular clearance (78) is provided between sensing tube (60) and piston (26) for providing a restricted fluid flow between dome chamber (42) and the inlet (20).

  • Patent number: 5795236
Abstract: A removable bowling ball thumb insert sleeve for installation in a bowling ball hole, having an expander within a short counterbore in the bottom portion of the thumb insert sleeve. The expander device is actuated by rotation of an actuating screw using a tool inserted through a center bore within the thumb insert sleeve. Actuation of the expander device expands a split ring within the counterbore to engage the sleeve and urge it radially outwardly to engage the wall of the bowling ball hole and frictionally retain the sleeve within the hole.

  • Patent number: 4938246
Abstract: A cleaning tool (46) for removable attachment to a valve manifold (10) upon removal of instrumentation (26) therefrom for cleaning the axial bore (29) of the valve manifold (22). The manifold (22) which has a mounting flange (56) supporting the instrument (26) for measuring, monitoring, or recording differential fluid pressures from a main flow line. The cleaning tool (46) has a flange (56) thereon adapted to fit in mating relation against the flange (36) on the valve manifold (22) upon removal of the instrument (26). A cleaning rod (62) of the cleaning tool (46) has an enlarged diameter cleaning member (68) thereon for cleaning the axial bore (29) of the valve manifold (22) upon manual reciprocation of the cleaning rod (62).

  • Patent number: 4898201
Abstract: A portable cleaning tool (12) for cleaning the bore (38) of a valve (10) comprising a tool fitting or connector (52) with a reduced diameter inner end portion (82) having an O-ring (86) for sealing against an enlarged bore portion (40) of the valve body (18). The conenctor (52) is threaded within the enlarged end bore (44) to engage in abutting relation an internal shoulder (46). The cleaning member (60) is of an enlarged diameter and has a tapered seat (63) adapted for seating in a retracted position on a mating tapered seat (88) of the connector (52) to prevent any blowout of the cleaning member (60). One embodiment shown in FIGS. 5 and 6 has an internally threaded nut (108) threaded onto external mating screw threads (110) on the valve body and engaging a retainer ring (106) on the connector body (53A) for mounting the connector (52A) on the valve (10 A).
