  • Publication number: 20190063866
Abstract: A reel suitable for bow fishing and the like provides a cowling covering a reel with a wide opening to reduce frictional restraint on high-speed paying out of the line with the flight of the arrow. An optional guide arm may be used to minimize line diversion and hence friction during line payout while absorbing forces when the line is retracted permitting use of a lighter cowling design without loss of strength. A high torque bevel gear transmission and safety lighting is further provided.
    Type: Application
    Filed: February 1, 2018
    Publication date: February 28, 2019

  • Publication number: 20190029241
Abstract: A reel for fishing line or the like provides for extremely rapid payout by releasing the line to unwind by sliding rapidly around a guide surrounding the line spool and by rotation of the line spool itself. A handle extending rearwardly from the reel controls a line guide preventing sliding of the fishing line around the guide and providing controllable friction and locking of rotation of the line spool only when actuated by the user to permit retraction of the line or controlled tensioning of the line.

  • Patent number: 9752845
Abstract: A line puller attached to the limb adjustment bolts used for adjusting tension on high-performance bows is provided. The line puller may be shaped to facilitate capture of the line around an enlarged projection having a flared flanged that coaxes the line into an overlap configuration to cinch the line on a narrow winding portion.

  • Publication number: 20170086433
Abstract: A pultruded arrow shaft for bow fishing in which a carbon fiber is placed in a core and then surrounded by fiberglass composite and provides comparable stiffness benefits to the arrow shaft as to that provided by outer wrappings or spines of carbon fiber yet with improved resistance to damage from the outer protective fiberglass fibers.

  • Patent number: 9146085
Abstract: An arrowhead for bowfishing supports pivoting barbs that may refracted rearward to pass through a fish and then extended to retain the fish on the arrow. The barbs provide a truncated stop surface striking a rear of the arrow tip when the arrow tip is tightened on the arrowhead to prevent their forward motion from the extended position when the tip is tightened on the arrowhead and yet to allow such motion when the tip is slightly loosened but not removed. The barbs are offset with respect to their pivot point so that a slight loosening of the arrow tip also allows the barbs to pass forward over the arrow tip for retraction of the fish from the arrow while the tip is retained on the arrowhead.

  • Publication number: 20150252533
Abstract: A method of patching asphalt and concrete road beds is disclosed comprising the steps of removing debris from a hole in the road bed, filling the hole with a patching material comprised of at least 40% iron metallurgical material having a size of at least 50% between ?6 and +100 mesh, and a dilute acidic activator comprised of phosphate anions between 30% and 75%, and combining the iron metallurgical material and the dilute acidic activator to form iron ceramic material.

  • Patent number: 8737816
Abstract: A single control allows selection and display of different video sequences from a DVD. No screen graphics are necessary to assist the user with operation, such as to show which buttons correspond to which sequences. A dedicated control, such as a button on a DVD player or television remote control device, is used to switch between two possible video tracks, or to otherwise select among multiple video tracks. Full-screen video tracks can be displayed without the need for visual indicators, such as thumbnail images, to identify selectable video tracks associated with different controls. Another aspect of the invention allows for modification of control information, such as navigation information, within a playback device.

  • Patent number: 8165448
Abstract: Multiple video streams, or other image information, from a DVD or other single source are selectively directed among two or more display screens. The video streams can be directed automatically, manually or by a combination of automatic and manual techniques. This allows the streams to be viewed simultaneously on different display screens to, e.g., increase the viewing area, provide selectable enhancement and control of video viewing, or for other purposes.

  • Publication number: 20040264917
Abstract: Cues, or indicators, are associated with an audio waveform. The cues can be placed or arranged automatically, or manually by a human operator. During playback, the cues are detected by a playback device and can be used by a visualization to correlate images, animation, colors, or other characteristics of the waveform to a visual presentation. Different cues correspond to different basic song characteristics such as percussion or beat. Instrument cues are used for noticeable instrument phrases, notes, or effects. Instrument solo cues are used to indicate the start and end of instrument solos or passages that stand out. Vocal cues include a range of coarse, medium or fine vocal tracking to provide cues for, e.g., mere presence of vocals, to close tracking of words, melody and emotional delivery. A playback engine uses the cues to create a visualization.
