  • Patent number: 12679255
Abstract: A locking mechanism includes a housing, a cam disposed within the housing, and pawls disposed within the housing. The housing includes a first plate defining channels and a second plate received by the first plate. Each of the pawls is positioned within a respective channel. Each of the pawls has a first side profile defining a first notch and a second side profile defining a second notch. The cam is configured to engage with the pawls to translate the pawls along the channels such that the pawls engage with the second plate. The first notch and the second notch are configured to facilitate deformation of the first side profile and the second profile, respectively, as at least one of the first side profile or the second side profile engages with a sidewall of a respective channel under certain loading conditions to prevent disengagement of the pawls from the second plate.

  • Publication number: 20260138510
Abstract: A vehicle seat includes a seat bottom assembly and a seat back. The seat bottom assembly includes a base, a seat bottom, a connector movably coupling the seat bottom to the base, and a latching mechanism coupled to the base. The latching mechanism includes a latch receiver positioned to receive a latch interface installed in a vehicle and a latch retainer pivotably coupled to the base. The latch retainer is positioned to selectively prevent removal of the latch interface from the latch receiver. The seat back is pivotably coupled to the base. The vehicle seat is reconfigurable between a seat configuration and a stowed configuration. When transitioning the vehicle seat from the seat configuration to the stowed configuration, the seat bottom moves relative to the base, causing the connector to engage with the latch retainer, permitting disengagement of the latch receiver from the latch interface.

  • Publication number: 20260091713
Abstract: A recliner system includes a plate, a spring, an inner support, and an outer support. The plate has a protrusion. The protrusion defines a bore. The coil body is positioned along and around an exterior surface of the protrusion. The inner support is at least partially positioned within the bore. The inner support includes protrusions extending outside of the bore and along an exterior of the spring. Each of the protrusions is configured to selectively engage with a respective leg of the spring. The outer housing is disposed around the protrusions of the inner housing and the spring. The outer housing defines cavities with a notch positioned therebetween. The cavities extend around the legs. The notch is configured to selectively engage with the legs of the spring. The inner support and the outer housing engage with the plate on the same side of the plate.

  • Patent number: 12434604
Abstract: A locking mechanism includes a plate and a pawl. The plate includes a peripheral lip having an interior face that defines a plurality of teeth. The pawl defines a central axis and includes a plurality of pawl teeth including a first middle tooth and a second middle tooth. The first middle tooth is positioned on a first side of the central axis and has a first flat face facing the central axis and a first curved face facing away from the central axis. The second middle tooth is positioned on an opposing second side of the central axis and has a second flat face facing the central axis and a second curved face facing away from the central axis. The pawl is positionable between (i) a first position where the pawl does not engage with the plate and (ii) a second position where the pawl engages with the plate.

  • Patent number: 12351083
Abstract: A track assembly includes a first track having first apertures, a second track having second apertures, and a latch assembly. The latch assembly includes a latch plate movable between an engaged position and a disengaged position. The latch plate includes first teeth that selectively extend through the first apertures and through at least one of the second apertures when the latch plate is in the engaged position. A gap is present between a first latch tooth of the first teeth and one of the first apertures when the latch plate is in the engaged position. The latch assembly includes an anti-chuck component coupled to the latch plate and including a second tooth that extends along a face of the first latch tooth. The second tooth extends laterally past both lateral edges of the first latch tooth to close the gap when the latch plate is in the engaged position.
