Publication number: 20250342758Abstract: A system includes a controller and a first pressure sensor. The first pressure sensor is configured to detect a first air pressure within a premises at a first time and a second air pressure within the premises at a second time. The first pressure sensor is in communication with the controller. The controller is configured to receive the first air pressure and the second air pressure within the premises from the first pressure sensor, determine a change in pressure within the premises using at least the first air pressure and the second air pressure, and compare the change in pressure within the premises to a first predetermined interior pressure change threshold. When the change in pressure within the premises matches the first predetermined interior pressure change threshold, the controller is configured to determine a first output associated with the first predetermined interior pressure change threshold.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 25, 2023Publication date: November 6, 2025Applicant: Ademco Inc.Inventors: James T. Woolaway, Travis Read, John Edward Cronin, Kenneth Eskildsen, Jeff Frank, William R. Blum

Patent number: 8581982Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed in accordance with some embodiments for integrating an infrared camera system into a vehicle's lighting component. For example in accordance with an embodiment, a lighting component for a vehicle includes a housing; an infrared camera disposed within the housing; a light source disposed within the housing and disposed at least partially around the infrared camera; and a lens coupled to the housing and adapted to allow infrared radiation to pass through and be received by the infrared camera and to allow light provided by the light source to be transmitted through the lens. Furthermore, one or more infrared cameras may be integrated into a vehicle to provide various capabilities, such as for example stereoscopic infrared imaging, multi-spectral stereoscopic imaging (e.g., using infrared and visible wavelengths or various infrared wavelengths for multi-color infrared imaging), and/or provide various fields of view (e.g., foveal imaging).Type: GrantFiled: July 30, 2007Date of Patent: November 12, 2013Assignee: FLIR Systems, Inc.Inventors: Darren M. Haley, William A. Terre, Jeff Frank

Patent number: 7965314Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for providing foveal images. For example, high and low resolution images can be combined to provide foveal images. Parameters other than resolution can vary between the larger and smaller images of the foveal image. Real, artificial, 2D and 3D images can be used in any desired combination to form foveal images. The use of such foveal images can substantially enhance the ability of viewers to accurately and reliably interpret the content of images and provide reduce bandwidth for image transmission.Type: GrantFiled: March 23, 2006Date of Patent: June 21, 2011Assignee: Flir Systems, Inc.Inventors: John L. Miller, Jeff Frank, Andrew C. Teich
