  • Publication number: 20180168844
Abstract: A thumb rehabilitation splinting device for selectively immobilizing a thumb includes a sleeve that has a first end and a second end, which are open. The sleeve is substantially complementary to a palm and a forearm of a user. A hole, configured to insert a thumb to position the thumb external to the sleeve, is positioned in the sleeve proximate to the first end. A tube is configured to insert at least a portion of a distal phalanx of the thumb. First and second couplers that are coupled to the tube are selectively couplable to a side and a palm face of the sleeve, respectively. A slat, which is rigid, is coupled to the palm face and is configured to substantially immobilize a wrist. The first and second couplers are configured to adjustably substantially immobilize the thumb relative the hand of the user.

  • Patent number: 9351892
Abstract: A sonic percussion therapy system includes a patient support apparatus and a control module. The sonic percussion structure is attached to the inflatable cell so that the sonic percussion structure moves in response to movement of the inflatable cell. The control module includes a sonic percussion control module and a position control module. The sonic percussion control module independently controls frequency and/or intensity of at least one of the plurality of sonic percussion structures. The position control module selectively raises and lowers at least one of the plurality of sonic percussion structures with respect to a patient surface.

  • Publication number: 20140084794
Abstract: A method for programming a LED light that uses a light control circuit that includes a light sensor to read the data from an encoded light source, where the encoded light source would typically by a LCD display. This allows the LED light to have a wide array of options where the user only selects the options or modes that they want the light to have.

  • Patent number: 8203581
Abstract: An improved means of measuring ambient light and controlling light sources based on those measurements. This embodiment of measuring ambient light, and only ambient light, by selectively turning off any LED light sources that the device controls and then using an ambient light sensor [12] to measure the remaining light. All of this must be done in such a way as to be undetected by people who are using the light for various purposes.

  • Patent number: 8102270
Abstract: A patient position apparatus includes a plurality of sensing conductors and a control module operatively coupled to the sensing conductors. The sensing conductors are arranged along a substantially planar surface. The sensing conductors provide sensing information in response to a patient being within proximity of the sensing conductors. The control module selectively adjusts fluid pressure of at least one inflatable cell in response to the sensing information.
