Abstract: An aircraft system is associated with operation of the aircraft and includes a control component selectable between a first state and a second state. Manipulating the control component between the first state and the second state changes an operation of the aircraft system. The processor is in electronic communication with the control component, the display, and the input device. The processor is programmed to: determine whether an event associated with the aircraft system has occurred; retrieve, from an electronic aircraft manual, crew guidance that includes a crew action to manipulate the control component in response to the event; generate a graphical representation of the crew guidance and the control component; generate a selector on the graphical representation for the control component to be manipulated by the crew action; and manipulate the control component in response to selection of the selector at the input device.
