    Abstract: A method for updating coefficients in a decision feedback equalizer (DFE). The DFE comprises an ISI canceller for canceling ISI from a plurality of first signals received from a channel. A first symbol comprising a set of the first signals is decoded to generate a decoded symbol. Then, a vector of error values computed as the difference between the decoded symbol, and the first symbol is obtained. According to the decoded symbol and the vector of the error values, a temp matrix is generated. Next, the values of the elements in every diagonal line of the temp matrix are averaged. Finally, the coefficients are updated by the Toeplitz Matrix.

    Abstract: The present invention is a method of annealing an oxide film. According to the present invention, an oxide film is deposited over a substrate. The oxide film is then annealed by exposing the oxide film to an ambient containing atomic oxygen for a predetermined period of time. In an embodiment of the present invention, the ambient containing atomic oxygen (O) is formed in the chamber by reacting a hydrogen containing gas and an oxygen containing gas together. In another embodiment of the present invention, the ambient containing atomic oxygen (O) is formed by decomposing N2O.

    Abstract: A novel apparatus for compressing viscous material through openings in a stencil is disclosed. The novel apparatus has a compression head cap which provides a contained environment to direct and to aid the flow of pressurized viscous material through the openings in the stencil. The compression head cap further includes a plurality of members which are selectively and movably disposed within the contained environment and which selectively remove an amount of the material from the environment, effective to prevent the material from being undesirably dispensed by the head cap.

    Abstract: There is disclosed herein a self-shearing stencil for use in applying solder paste or other bonding material atop a printed circuit board (PCB) in a predefined pattern. The stencil 50 has a top surface 12, a bottom surface 14, a first surface cavity 16 in the top surface, and a second surface cavity 18 in the bottom surface proximate the first surface. The cavities 16/18 overlap in a predefined manner so as to be in open communication with each other. When the stencil is placed on the PCB, the cavities are filled with solder paste and the PCB is then lowered away from the stencil, whereupon a bottom ledge 26 (defined by the stencil material underneath the first cavity) shears off the solder paste in the first cavity from the paste in the second cavity.

Longitudinal diffuser plates guide and equalize the flow of the viscous material into the volume between two generally parallel wiper blades.

    Abstract: A wood tapping machine includes a cutting device formed on a machine body which has a tapping rod extending horizontally from the cutting device. A guiding path is formed on the machine body and has a toolrest which is disposed slidably thereon. The toolrest includes a base member and a cylindrical casing that has two arms extending therefrom and connected pivotally to the base member. A driving rod connects the base member and the cylindrical casing and maintains the cylindrical casing parallel to the tapping rod of the cutting device. The cylindrical casing can swing relative to the base member when the driving rod rotates about its axis. A main shaft is threadedly and rotatably disposed through the cylindrical casing. The main shaft has a chuck assembly at one end and a rotation wheel at another end thereof.
