  • Patent number: 11457373
Abstract: Gateway devices can use dual cellular interfaces to provide reliable communications for client machines. A gateway device can use one of the dual cellular interfaces as a primary interface and the other as a hot backup interface. The backup interface remains connected to a cellular network while communications are routed on the primary interface. Accordingly, the gateway device can rapidly switch communications between from the primary interface to the backup interface. Applications, for example, for ATM payment processing, vending machine telemetry, point of sale payment processing, kiosk internet connectivity, remote monitoring and control, mobile or electronic health, and remote information displays, may run on the gateway devices, on servers, on user devices, or a combination of these devices.

  • Publication number: 20220141666
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided herein for providing secure communication secure machine-to-machine communications between a client machine and a gateway device and to authenticate client machines. An example method may include retrieving client machine identification criteria and retrieving an identifier of a client machine. The method may determine whether the identifier of the client machine is within the client machine identification criteria. If the identifier of the client machine is not within the client machine identification criteria, the method drops the connection between the client machine and the gateway device.

  • Patent number: 10652328
Abstract: Systems, methods, and media for managing gateways. In an embodiment, a virtual gateway is generated which comprises a representation of each of one or more active scripts and/or device information (e.g., device drivers, and/or definitions and/or configurations for devices, device types, and/or device groups) stored on at least one remote physical gateway. At least one user interface is provided for editing each of the one or more active scripts and/or device information represented in the virtual gateway. Synchronization is automatically maintained, across at least one network, between the one or more active scripts and/or device information represented in the virtual gateway and the one or more active scripts and/or device information stored on the at least one remote physical gateway.

  • Patent number: 10536295
Abstract: In an embodiment, the infrastructure comprises a script execution module that comprises a compiler that compiles scripts, having instructions that reference device properties, into virtual-machine programs, a virtual machine that executes virtual-machine programs, and a script manager that stores scripts, retrieves scripts, and loads scripts into the compiler. In addition, the infrastructure may comprise gateway(s), communicatively connected to physical device(s). The gateway(s) may each comprise processor(s), driver(s) that each communicate with at least one physical device using a communication protocol to read and/or write device properties of the physical device, and a device manager that maps device properties referenced in the virtual-machine programs to device properties used by the driver(s).
