The fastener mechanism can include a first fastener part and a separate and independent second fastener part that can be coupled together. The training device also includes a cord element having a first end portion mounted between the first fastener part and the second fastener part and being mechanically retained therebetween, wherein the cord element extends outwardly from the channel.
