  • Publication number: 20090208914
Abstract: A door breach training system comprising a first restraint assembly connecting a door to a frame. The door is attached to a lock jamb of the frame with a first restraint assembly that exposes a shear joint to impact from a projectile, such as shotgun round. Another embodiment further comprises attachment of the door to the hinge jamb with at least one second restraint assembly that functionally simulates a typical door hinge and exposes a shear joint to impact from a ballistic round. The preferred embodiment includes replaceable lock panels and hinge panels that are designed to break in a known manner in order to replicate those same failure modes for both door locks and door hinges in typical residential and commercial construction environments.

  • Publication number: 20090188052
Abstract: A multipurpose tool comprising a main body and having at least one substantially planar member extending from the main body, at least one curved member extending from the main body, and at least one serrated member extending from the main body. The tool may also have at least one base extending from the main body. The tool may also have one or more handles extending from the main body.

  • Patent number: 7337515
Abstract: An device for breaching an outwardly opening door and methods for use thereof. The device combines a serrated blade for penetrating the crevice between a door and a doorjamb and an extendable handle with a ratcheting mechanism allowing the operator to remain out of the line of fire when breaching the door. The device may also be used by a single operator by initially driving the blade between the door and doorjamb via a hammering function involving the retraction of the extendable handle combined with the weighted block and thrusting force applied thereto.

  • Publication number: 20070246413
Abstract: An aquarium is provided that hides ugly electrical wires. The aquarium comprises: a tank capable of holding water, the tank having an interior and an exterior, and a bottom, the bottom having an opening within the interior of the tank, a hollow member disposed within at least the interior of the tank and having an upper opening, a lower opening, an inner surface and an outer surface, the lower opening capable of aligning around or with the opening in the bottom of the tank so that water is prevented from leaking out the opening in the bottom of the tank, the outer surface of the hollow member capable of preventing water flow into the inner surface of the hollow member, and the inner surface of the hollow member capable of receiving one or more electrical wires to or from the upper and lower openings of the hollow member. In various embodiments, a decorative structure is provided that can hide and protect electrical devices typically used in the aquarium.

  • Patent number: 7050187
Abstract: A device and method for providing real time compensation for packet loss in the transmission of facsimile data over packet networks to avoid the generation of page loss data and the termination of facsimile transmission. Facsimile devices have a low tolerance for interruptions in transmission. Packet networks commonly have a transmission interruption rate above the tolerance of facsimile equipment. In order to compensate for transmission interruption, the present invention teaches the buffering of facsimile data by scan line at the receiving end, the evaluation of buffered scan lines for packet loss and the discarding of scan lines having packet loss to conceal the packet loss from the receiving facsimile equipment to avoid detection of page errors by the receiving facsimile equipment which could cause loss of facsimile transmission.

  • Patent number: 6534719
Abstract: This invention concerns an apparatus to assist in the installation of certain spring clips such as those embodied in an Electrostatic Animal Guard. The apparatus structure is primarily a series of offset tines by which the clip can be held. In addition to these tines is a slidable bar that further holds the clip. Movement of the bar alters the apparatus's relative hold on the clip allowing for seating and release of the clip when the bar is in one position, and preventing the seating and release of the clip when in another position.

  • Patent number: 5218803
Abstract: An L-shaped brace is used for reinforcing free-standing, light gauge, steel studs, gypsum board walls which are built up from a standard size, light-gauge track which is mounted to the floor. The brace has one leg which is fastened to the floor through the track, with the other leg extending vertically and being fastened either to one of a steel stud, or to the inside of a vertically extended length of track used to define the end of a free-standing wall.
