    Abstract: A retaining skirt or barrier is provided for animal cages. A skirt comprising a sheet, preferably made from a clear plastic or polymer material, is provided that can be wrapped around the bottom portion of an animal cage. The two ends of the skirt can be detachably and adjustably connected to one another so that a skirt of a single length can be utilized on animal cages of varying sizes.
