  • Publication number: 20230325683
Abstract: Techniques are described for automatically assessing alert risk. An example computing device configured to perform the techniques receives an alert representing a type of abnormal behavior for a user account. The computing device receives a domain knowledge score for the alert, the domain knowledge score representing a qualitative rating assigned by one or more subject matter experts; determines a machine knowledge score for the alert, the machine knowledge score representing a number of positive alerts for the type of abnormal behavior; and calculates an overall score for the alert from the domain knowledge score and the machine knowledge score. The computing device determines whether the overall score indicates that the alert represents a positive alert or a false positive alert for the type of abnormal behavior. The computing device may further output data representative of the alert to a user when the alert is determined to be the positive alert.

  • Patent number: 11715054
Abstract: Techniques are described for automatically generating meta-alerts based on operational and security risk alert volumes for an entity. In particular, a central device receives entity alert information from other devices in a computer system of an enterprise business, which may have office branches that are each staffed by employees. The central device compares alert volumes of a given entity for a given period of time (e.g., a month) to one or more baseline thresholds determined based on the average alert volume of peer entities during the same period of time and the entity's own historical alert volumes to identify spikes or increases in the volume of alerts for the given entity. If the entity is trending high for the period of time, the central device generates a meta-alert to bring awareness to the relatively high volume of alerts identified for that entity.

  • Patent number: 7883623
Abstract: A dispenser system that takes high pressure fluid such as a high pressure water source and reduces the volume flow of the high pressure water as it flows into a dispenser with the dispenser having a low pressure outlet, which offers negligible fluid resistance in comparison to the inlet fluid resistance to the dispenser, thereby ensuring that if a dispenser cap is accidentally removed from the dispenser while the unit is in operation the water will not spray out into and onto the user. The dispensing system includes a removable cartridge carrier with adjustable openings and a dispenser housing that one can maintain a uniform flow pattern under different flow rates to provide for a predicable control of a dispersion rate from a dispersant located in the system and a method of predictably changing the dispersion rate of a dispersant.

  • Publication number: 20070190311
Abstract: This invention relates to a method for forming a multi-layer coating on a vehicle body, comprised of applying primer coating, base coating, and clear coat layers in a wet-on-wet-on-wet manner, and simultaneously curing the applied three layers together in a single baking step. The primer layer comprises a film-forming binder comprising two acrylic polymers, the first being a caprolactone-modified branched acrylic polymer and the second being a caprolactone-modified linear acrylic polymer; and a crosslinking agent selected from aminoplast resin, blocked polyisocyanates, or mixtures thereof, wherein the composition is, essentially free of crosslinked nonaqueous dispersion resin particles or crosslinked microgel resin particles or both. The resulting multi-layered coating has excellent aesthetic appearance, strike-in resistance, chipping resistance, sag resistance, and film build even when formed in a three wet layered application method.

  • Publication number: 20070142591
Abstract: The present invention is directed to preparation of branched acrylic polymers, and caprolactone-modified branched acrylic polymers, in a high temperature free-radical acrylic polymerization process. The polymerization is conducted at or above 130° C. to produce polymers having a high degree of branching. The polymers so prepared can be used as binder resin and/or rheology control agent in high solids coating compositions, especially coating compositions useful for finishing automobiles and truck exteriors.

  • Publication number: 20060206372
Abstract: Systems and methods for providing demographic information for a geo-demographic cluster area within a predefined geographic region are disclosed. An illustrative method may include the steps of associating selected data entries from multiple databases with parcels of land in a predefined geographic region, generating household-specific demographic profiles for each parcel of land using data records from the databases, generating an aggregate dataset for at least two parcels of land by combining the household-specific demographic profiles for each parcel of land, and outputting selective data from the aggregate dataset to a user such as an individual or organization. The step of generating an aggregate dataset for at least two parcels of land can be used to protect the identity of individual residents or organizations located within the predefined geographic region.
