  • Publication number: 20250092251
Abstract: The present specification generally relates to a composition for the manufacture of bio-degradable, bio-compostable, ocean degradable, biocompatible articles that contain a bio-based thermoplastic component. In particular, it has been found, in accordance with the practice of this invention, that marked improvement in tensile strength, toughness and elongation of polyhydroxyalkanoate (PHA) can be achieved by dispersing in the PHA an amorphous PHA and then optionally coupling the dispersed amorphous PHA. The polyhydroxyalkanoate/amorphous polyhydroxyalkanoate blends of the present invention comprise from 70-97.5 percent by weight of the PHA, from 2.5-30 percent by weight of the amorphous PHA can be used to produce a wide array of articles.

  • Publication number: 20230272158
Abstract: The present specification generally relates to a composition for the manufacture of ocean degradable, bio-degradable, bio-compostable, biocompatible articles that contain a bio-based thermoplastic component. More specifically, the present invention relates to an aliphatic polyester resin composition comprising: (i) a polyhydroxyalkanoate (PHA) in the range of 100%-51% by weight in combination with (ii) a semiconductor in the range of 0%-49% by weight, and (iii) an additive in the range of 0% to about 75% by weight of the total composition; and the subsequent manufacture of articles formed using the aliphatic polyester resin composition.

  • Patent number: 9501937
Abstract: A method of controlling airport traffic is provided. The method includes routing a plurality of aircraft towards a runway and selecting a runway approach vector for each of the plurality of aircraft. First approach legs of each runway approach vector are separated from each other by a distance.

  • Patent number: 8515597
Abstract: A required navigation performance (RNP) approach method is described that includes providing a plurality of fixed, predetermined waypoints associated with at least one runway of at least one airport, providing a predetermined plurality of constant radius turnpoints connecting a downwind leg of the runway to a final approach leg of the runway, and assigning one of the constant radius turnpoints to an aircraft capable of flying an RNP approach, the turnpoint selected to provide separation from other approaching aircraft and a landing time for the aircraft.
