Abstract: A waste classification system and method configured to manage information for waste materials is disclosed. The system and method may be configured to receive information pertaining to classification of waste materials. The system and method maintains and accesses a waste classification database based on material safety data sheets (MSDS) utilizing the location of the waste, and returns waste classification data that may include rules and regulations relevant to the location of the waste.

The materials management system can be configured to receive event information pertaining to a hazardous materials event. The system accesses an event response database, and, based on the event information, directs actions to respond to the hazardous materials event.

The materials management system can be configured to receive event information, comprising information pertaining to a hazardous materials event, to store data pertaining to a plurality of hazardous materials, to retrieve stored data based on the event information and to generate a materials event response based on the retrieved information. According to one embodiment, the materials management system can include an automated telephonic interface for accepting caller input and facilitating system responses.

If a language manager associated with the native language has not been loaded already, the language manager is loaded into a server memory. If the UDR has not already been instantiated, the UDR is instantiated and initialized. Then an execution context for the UDR is created and the UDR is executed. Loading of the language manager is handled by a general language interface capable of initializing the language manager, loading the language manager, creating a language manager context, and executing the language manager.
