  • Patent number: 10570171
Abstract: Novel compositions for removing impurities such as, protein aggregates, from a sample containing a protein of interest, e.g., an antibody. Such compositions can be used prior to the virus filtration step during protein purification, to remove aggregates and protect the virus filter from fouling, therefore improving virus filter capacity. A porous solid support including a co-polymer having at least two monomers, wherein at least one of the monomers comprises acrylamide and at least a second monomer comprises a hydrophobic binding group, where the solid support selectively binds protein aggregates, thereby to separate the monomeric protein of interest from the protein aggregates. The method can be performed under neutral to high pH and high conductivity conditions.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: February 25, 2020
    Assignee: EMD Millipore Corporation
Inventors: Mikhail Kozlov, William Cataldo, Jeffrey Caron

Abstract: Novel compositions for re-moving impurities such as, protein aggregates, from a sample containing a protein of interest, e.g., an antibody. Such compositions can be used prior to the virus filtration step during protein purification, to remove aggregates and protect the virus filter from fouling, therefore improving virus filter capacity. • Patent number: 8402889
Abstract: A multi-function media embellishing template and a system and method of embellishing media with the template is provided. The template includes a body having a media abutment surface and an aperture in the media abutment surface extending through the template, and an embellishing wall extending from the media abutment surface and terminating in an embellishing surface. The media embellishing template can be formed by exposing first and second sides of a template blank not covered by a resist to etchant, etching the surface of the first side to form a media abutment surface and an embellishing wall extending from the media abutment surface and terminating in an embellishing surface, and etching the surface of the second side not covered by the resist to form at least one aperture extending through the template.

  • Patent number: 6425311
Abstract: The invention is a pry-proof gun port for shielding a gun whenever the gun port is in a closed position and for permitting the gun to be discharged through the gun port whenever the gun port is in an open position. The gun port includes a frame mountable to a support structure such as a currency transport vehicle, the frame including an exterior mount plate that defines a discharge port dimensioned to support a closure shield. A push rod has an exterior end secured to a peripheral region of the closure shield and an intermediate portion passing through a chamber of the frame. The push rod moves axially to position the closure shield out of the discharge port, and the push rod then rotates the closure shield away from the discharge port to place the gun port in the open position. A lock rod interacts between a shoulder of the chamber of the frame and a lock shaft coaxial with and within the push rod to restrict opening of the closure shield from the exterior mount plate.
