  • Publication number: 20030089630
Abstract: A tool storage container has a base member with a tool receiving member. A cover is coupled with the base. An opening is in the cover. The opening may have a configuration corresponding to the tool maintained within the carrying case or any other configuration which enables viewing and prohibits removal of the tool when the container is in a closed position. A plurality of storage areas are within the inside of the cover. Also, fingers secure the tool in the carrying case so that in an open condition, the tool is maintained in the carrier.

  • Patent number: 5878512
Abstract: A protective overshoe which reduces the risk of injury from industrial impact, compression, chemical, puncture, and electrical hazards and simultaneously protects both a foot and a street shoe worn by the foot is described. The overshoe may include a protective sole, a protective upper, and a toe box. The protective sole is made with conventional materials such as butyl rubber, neoprene rubber, polyvinyl chloride, nitrile, and combinations thereof. An optional puncture guard in the sole protects against punctures. The protective upper is large enough to substantially cover the upper of the street shoe. Protective uppers are made of the same or similar materials as those used in the protective soles. The toe box, which substantially covers and protects the user's toes, is formed of a conventional rigid material such as steel, rigid plastic, or fiberglass.

  • Patent number: 5489947
Abstract: A digital video signal processing system receives encoded packets of data representing video image information in compressed form. A video decoder and an associated video RAM are used to decode and decompress the video packets to form groups of video image representative digital words. The video image groups are organized in a compressed component format (e.g., Y, U, V in the ratio 4:2:2) related to the video image compression format in which pairs of color related components correspond to more than one pixel. The video decoder also includes an on-screen display (OSD) unit which converts a graphics bit map stored in a section of the video RAM to groups of graphic image representative digital words. The graphic image groups are organized in an uncompressed component format (Y, U, V in the ratio 4:4:4).

  • Patent number: 5461232
Abstract: A pulse transmission scintigraphic imaging system for providing image data for attenuation correction and fiducial alignment. The system includes a shuttered photon flood transmission source, secured opposite an Anger gamma scintillation camera by an adjustable armature, a motorized photon-occluding shutter mechanism for producing photon pulses from the photons emitted by the flood source and a gating system for providing a signal to the gamma camera indicative of the presence of a photon pulse (shutter mechanism open) or the absence of a photon pulse (shutter mechanism closed).

  • Patent number: 5343195
Abstract: A variable length decoder including the cascade combination of a buffer memory for providing parallel-bit coded data in N-bit bytes, and a first barrel shifter having an R-bit input port and an R-bit output port (R>N). The R-bit output port of the first barrel shifter is coupled to respective first inputs of a bank of R two-input OR gates. The outputs of the OR gates are coupled to the parallel input of a register or latch, the output of which is coupled to the address input port of a lookup table for providing decoded versions of variable length codewords applied to its address port, and providing indicia which indicates the length of respective decoded variable length codewords. The output of the register is also coupled to the input of a second R-bit input R-bit output second barrel shifter. The output of the second barrel shifter is coupled to respective second input connections of said bank of OR gates.
