  • Patent number: 7544325
Abstract: An apparatus for testing the efficacy of a sterilizing environment on a test indicator, comprising a test chamber, a loading chamber adjacent to the test chamber and an opening connecting the test chamber to the loading chamber. A movable gate mechanism has a first position closing the opening and isolating the test chamber from the loading chamber, and a second position wherein the opening connects the test chamber to the loading chamber. A system is connected to the inlet port and the outlet port of the test chamber for supplying a sterilant vapor to the test chamber to establish a sterilizing environment in the test chamber. An indicator holder is operable to move a test indicator from the loading chamber into and out of the test chamber when the gate mechanism is in the second position.

  • Patent number: 6017105
Abstract: A guidance assembly (28) guides a door (22) to a cabinet (10) while it is moved between an open position, in which access to an interior chamber is provided through an opening (16) in the cabinet, and a closed position, in which the door covers the opening. The guidance system includes four pairs of rollers (32, 34) which are mounted to upper and lower horizontal sides of the door. The rollers roll along upper and lower horizontal tracks (38, 42) which are mounted to an exterior wall (18) of the cabinet, adjacent upper and lower ends of the opening. Leading and trailing recesses (56, 62) are defined in the tracks to receive the rollers when the door is in the closed position. Leading pairs (32) of the rollers have shorter shafts (52) than corresponding trailing pairs (34) of the rollers. The trailing recesses (62) are further from the door than the leading recesses (56), leaving a narrow strip of land (64) between the trailing recesses and the door.

  • Patent number: 5906801
Abstract: A decontamination device (10) including a chamber (14) for receiving articles (28 and 30) to be decontaminated by at least one of washing, disinfecting and sterilizing. The decontamination device also includes a shelving assembly (22) for suspending the articles (28 and 30) in the chamber. The shelving assembly (22) is constructed of a first body (26) suspended above the floor of the chamber (14) having a major surface (56) facing the top of the chamber (14). At least two side walls (58 and 60) extend generally upward from the major surface (56). A second body (24) having a major surface (46) facing the floor of the chamber (14) and at least two side walls (48 and 50) is stacked on the first body (26), wherein the two side walls (48 and 50) of the second body (24) mate with the two side walls (58 and 60) of the first body (26), supporting the second body (24).
