  • Publication number: 20050104435
Abstract: A task chair equipped with a mechanism for independently adjusting the height and width of support arms by the manual operation of a single adjustment knob. Each of the support arms includes a first arm portion and a second arm portion that are pivotally coupled by corresponding pivot joints. Each second arm portion carries one of a pair of arm pads. Each second arm portion may be inclined relative to the corresponding first arm portion for inclining the corresponding arm pad relative to a seat plate of the task chair. Each arm pad is joined with the corresponding second arm portion by a coupling mechanism that permits movement of each arm pad with two degrees of translational freedom and one degree of rotational freedom.

  • Patent number: 6143047
Abstract: A containment assembly for collecting grease or other effluent that includes a layered composite of effluent filtering and trapping materials in the form of a separation filter, a center filter and a barrier layer disposed in a layered manner. The separation filter and center filter desirably include a polypropylene material and each have a different porosity. The separation filter, center filter and barrier layer may be disposed between a top and bottom spacer layer in a layered manner. The composite may be received within a frame assembly. The effluent containment assembly also may include flashing for deflecting the effluent away from the equipment or other effluent source, an assembly for securing the frame assembly to equipment or other source of effluent at an elevation relative to a roof or other surface to be protected, a pole assembly for holding the composite within the frame assembly, and a windbar assembly for holding the composite together during wind conditions.

  • Patent number: 6011920
Abstract: A method and apparatus for debugging applications on a microkernel without invoking services provided by a particular personality. An application debugger is separated into three distinct pieces consisting of a user interface, debug engine, debug probe (instrumentation server). The user interface supports user inputs and debugger output in a language and platform-independent syntax. The debug engine supports semantics for specific language and target operating environments. The debug probe supports low-level query, access and update of the applications's state. The instrumentation server checks to see if a requested application is in its list of known application tasks. The instrumentation server sets an application into debug mode by either attaching to the application from a list of applications that it has constructed by polling the IBM Microkernel loaders or by having the application launched by a given IBM Microkernel loader.

  • Patent number: 5154390
Abstract: An activated arm stand with a base positioned on or securable to a stationary surface in which the base and an arm with a selected width are connected by a pair of aligned cylindrical portions each having a width less than the width of the arm. The cylindrical potions have V-shaped teeth which are urged together by an adjustable fastener and spring to hold the arm in a selected position. The base includes a surface which engages the arm to prevent its movement into a portion of the 360.degree. rotation even when the teeth are disengaged. The arm stand may include a toothless joint engagement arrangement in which a tooth joint portion is made toothless with a conversion washer.
