  • Patent number: 11297819
Abstract: The present invention provides for a mobile heating apparatus for heating an enclosed space to a temperature sufficient to kill bed bugs. The mobile heating apparatus has a recirculation chamber having a fresh air inlet configured to receive fresh air from a fresh air area and a recirculation air inlet configured to receive recirculation air from a heated air area. The fresh air area is located outside of the area to be heated. The heated air area is located within the area to be heated. The apparatus also has an air mixture/circulation apparatus configured to mix the fresh air and the recirculation air and an air heating chamber having a heat exchanger. A mixed air inlet is in communication with the air mixture/circulation apparatus. A heated air outlet is configured to route the heated air into the heated air area. A heating apparatus is configured to provide heated combustion flow to the heat exchanger. The present invention also provides for a related method.

  • Patent number: 8726539
Abstract: A gas heater with specialized controls allows an operator to deploy a single device to heat and to dry when extracting moisture from a structure. The heater has a fan in a blow thru arrangement ahead of a burner. The burner uses either natural gas or liquefied petroleum gas. The heater has air flow, fan motor, temperature, and ignition controls and sensors. The heater delivers high temperature air to the structure that hastens evaporation as the heated air absorbs great concentrations of water vapor. Then the moisture laden heated air exits the building as the heater draws in fresh air, ducts it into a structure, and pressurizes the structure. This moisture laden air then leaks from the building through select windows using the energy imparted from the fan and then exhausts the moisture to the atmosphere, drying the structure.

  • Patent number: 8388222
Abstract: Exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure include devices for monitoring and indicating the completion of eradication of a pest infestation in a space in which heating is utilized for eradication. In an exemplary embodiment, a device includes a sensor configured to sense temperature proximate the device, and a visual indicator configured to provide indication of status. The device further includes a processor that is connected to the sensor and visual indicator. The processor is configured to determine whether the sensed temperature exceeds the MINIMUM LETHAL TEMPERATURE, and configured to determine occurrence of completion of a minimum heating duration required for eradication in which the sensed temperature exceeds the MINIMUM LETHAL TEMPERATURE. The processor is further configured to activate the visual indicator subsequent to completion of the minimum heating duration, to thereby provide visible indication that the minimum heating duration for eradication of a pest infestation has elapsed.

  • Patent number: 6816086
Abstract: A driveway signaling device for detecting motion in a street immediately in front of a driveway and alerting a driver about to exit the driveway of such movement. The device has a pole, a motion detecting assembly mounted on the pole, and an anchor for anchoring the pole into the ground. The motion detecting assembly is mounted near the pole top, including a pair of motion detectors that extend outward from the sides of the pole in opposite directions for detecting motion in either direction in the street. The assembly has, a “red” light, a “green” light, a power source, and a logic device connecting the motion detectors to the pair of lights and the power source. Upon detection of movement, the “red” light is illuminated, signaling to the driver that it is hot safe to exit from the driveway. When no movement is detected for a predetermined time period, the “green” light is illuminated, signaling to the driver that it is safe to proceed out of the driveway.
