    Abstract: A steering wheel tilt mechanism includes a first steering column section and a second steering column section pivotally coupled to one another. A lock assembly selectively restricts pivotal movement of the first steering column section relative to the second steering column section. The lock assembly includes a shaft and a cam roller selectively engagable with the shaft. When the cam roller is disengaged, the shaft is free to translate thereby allowing pivotal movement of the first steering column section relative to the second steering column section.
