  • Publication number: 20220244677
Abstract: A toner cartridge according to one example includes first and second alignment guides that extend outward from a first side and a second side of the toner cartridge, respectively, for positioning the toner cartridge. The first and second alignment guides define a pivot axis about which the toner cartridge is pivotable relative to an imaging unit when the toner cartridge is installed on the imaging unit. An engagement member is positioned on a rear of the toner cartridge for receiving a bias force for biasing the toner cartridge about the pivot axis when the toner cartridge is installed on the imaging unit. The engagement member is positioned next to the bottom of the housing. The engagement member includes an angled contact surface that faces upward and rearward for contacting a corresponding hold-down on the imaging unit when the toner cartridge is installed on the imaging unit.

  • Patent number: 11402766
Abstract: A toner cartridge according to one example embodiment includes a reservoir for holding toner. An outlet is positioned on a front of the toner cartridge for exiting toner from the toner cartridge. First, second and third electrical contacts are positioned on a first side of the toner cartridge for contacting corresponding first, second and third electrical contacts in an image forming device. Each of the first, second and third electrical contacts of the toner cartridge is electrically connected to a respective imaging component positioned on the toner cartridge. The first, second and third electrical contacts of the toner cartridge are positioned such that an imaginary line that angles downward in a direction from a rear of the toner cartridge toward the front of the toner cartridge passes through the first, second and third electrical contacts of the toner cartridge.

  • Publication number: 20210387821
Abstract: An Urban Intermodal Freight System is capable of transporting large volumes and tonnage of freight by containerized or other means on a mass transit rail system. It captures excess capacity in the existing mass transit rail infrastructure to move packages, parcels, and freight by using miniaturized intermodal cargo containers that are designed to integrate seamlessly with the existing transit infrastructure, while displacing delivery trucks from increasingly crowded city streets. By enabling inbound trucks to transfer their cargo to the Urban Intermodal Freight System at a city's outskirts, freight is delivered without trucks entering congested downtown areas, greatly alleviating traffic congestion, delays, greenhouse gas emissions and other negative environmental impacts. The Linear Loading Dock and Conveyor System may have other useful applications, for example to access a facility, building or vehicle, or in other circumstances where off street truck parking or loading docks are not available.

  • Patent number: 11194790
Abstract: Various embodiments are directed to a federated network and database platform that is configured to sequence client write events occurring among several autonomous software applications. The federated network and database platform includes a client event sequencing server that is configured to receive a migration corpus of client write events from at least one software application server and assign a back-date time stamp to each client write event of the migration corpus. Upon receiving a new client write event associated with the software application, the client event sequencing server is configured to assign a current time stamp to the new client write event and store the new client write event to a client event sequencing database in a manner that positions the new client write event relative to the back-dated migration corpus of client write events.

  • Patent number: 11110667
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for facilitating fabrication of a composite part. An illustrative method includes loading a Numerical Control (NC) program that directs layup of tows by a fiber placement machine to create a laminate for curing into a composite part, identifying tow information recited in the NC program, applying inputs based on the tow information to a neural network that has been trained with measurements describing tow placement within other laminates that have been laid-up, and reporting likelihood of a fabrication discrepancy that is out of tolerance, based on an output of the neural network.

  • Patent number: 11104364
Abstract: A multi-modal cargo container, is capable of being transported by air, sea, rail, or truck and by manual handling, designed for intra-city delivery. The requirement of transporting maximum volume in limited urban space dictates the container's shape, dimensions, maximum weight and center of gravity. To minimize the possibility of loss of control or tipping during manual transport over uneven or sloped ground, Stabilizer and braking systems are provided that will stop the container and prevent tipping along its longitudinal axis either by manual or automatic operation. It is intended that the container will be operated by one or two handlers at either narrow end, and that dual redundant manual controls are provided for manual operation of the brake, manual deployment of the Stabilizer mechanism, retraction of the Stabilizer mechanism and resetting of the automatic override feature of the braking system should it deploy automatically.

  • Patent number: 11086247
Abstract: An assembly for an electrophotographic image forming device according to one example includes a rotatable roll having an electrically conductive shaft. An electrically conductive bracket is positioned adjacent to the roll and in a spaced relationship from the roll along a length of the roll. An electrical contact is positioned to receive an electrical voltage from a power supply of the image forming device. The electrical contact is electrically connected to a first end portion of the shaft of the roll by way of a first electrical path and to a second end portion of the shaft of the roll by way of a second electrical path to transfer the electrical voltage to the roll. The bracket forms a portion of the second electrical path such that the electrical voltage transferring from the electrical contact to the second end portion of the shaft of the roll passes through the bracket.
