  • Patent number: 11923892
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for updating data in a computer network. An exemplary method includes: scanning to capture a first set of signals; identifying from the first set of received signals a second set of signals having on times longer than a specified minimum dwell time; providing a plurality of signal profiles associated with a plurality of pulsed patterns of a signal of interest; identifying from the second set of signals a third set of signals that match at least one of the signal profiles; receiving demodulated data regarding the third set of signals; obtaining characteristic information for each of the third set of signals; verifying for each of the third set of signals their relevant information; determining whether the verification of the third set of signals produced a match; and upon determining of the match, providing an indication of a signal of interest.

  • Publication number: 20230022985
Abstract: Methods and apparatus to facilitate 3D object visualization and manipulation across multiple devices are disclosed. Example apparatus disclosed herein include a viewpoint determiner, a visible shard determiner, and a laminate assembler. The viewpoint determiner determines a viewpoint location of a viewpoint corresponding to a viewing device, the viewpoint location being in a reference frame of a three-dimensional (3D) model. The visible shard determiner determines a visible shard set of the 3D model based on the viewpoint location. The laminate assembler generates a two-dimensional (2D) image of the visible shard set.

  • Publication number: 20190072564
Abstract: The invention is directed to methods and compositions of matter for predicting the risk of preterm birth (PTB) in a subject and administering interventions to subjects at elevated risk of PTB. The inventions provide a convenient, non-invasive, and accurate means of assessing PTB risk in a subject, and further provide a means of treating subjects in need of treatment and selecting appropriate interventions to reduce such risk. The diagnostic tools include novel panels of biomarkers and other factors which can be used to accurately predict risk of PTB across a population, wherein elevated risk is due to a variety of underlying physiological pathways and processes. In another aspect, the scope of the invention encompasses assay kits which are useful in the fast, accurate, and inexpensive prediction of PTB risk by multiplexed measurement of PTB risk factors.

  • Publication number: 20130346843
Abstract: An author of a document may be enabled to specify viewing preferences for displaying a document in a reading view. The author may be enabled to define or select among available options for document viewing preferences such as transitions, animations, display of selected elements, layout features, embedded objects, and comparable ones. A reader of the document may be enabled to specify similar viewing preferences on their end. The author's preferences may also include customization of viewing rules based on a device, application, or version of application through which the document is viewed. In case of conflict between the author's and reader's preferences, one may prevail depending on permission levels and similar attributes.

  • Patent number: 8060744
Abstract: Method for providing a single level secure (SLS) user processor (402, 502) with access to a multi-level secure (MLS) file system (300). The method begins by authenticating a user to a cryptographic processor (302) by communicating one or more types of user authentication information to the cryptographic processor. Based on such authentication, the MLS file system services are provided such that the SLS user processor (402, 502) has access to files (306, 308, 310, 312, 314) at only one defined security classification level at a time. The method also includes zeroizing one or more data stores used by the SLS user processor each time the SLS user processor transitions between accessing classified data files at a first security classification level and a second security classification level.

  • Patent number: 8041947
Abstract: System for providing a secure file service includes an MLS file service module (300) comprised of a cryptographic processor (302). The MLS file service module also includes an MLS file system (301) hosted by the cryptographic processor. A secure user processor (402) includes programming and communications hardware for requesting at least one classified file from the MLS file service module. The cryptographic processor includes cryptographic hardware and software to decrypt the classified file. The cryptographic processor is also performs an integrity check on the classified file. Once the file is decrypted and its integrity checked by the cryptographic processor, the MLS file service module serves the classified file to the secure user processor in decrypted form. If the classified file is an executable file, the method also includes selectively enabling a write function for program memory of the secure user processor.
