Patent number: 12167888Abstract: An electrosurgical probe can be detachably secured to a handpiece having a motor drive unit and an RF current contact. The electrosurgical probe includes an elongate shaft having a longitudinal axis, a distal dielectric tip, and a proximal hub which is detachably securable to the handpiece. A hook electrode is reciprocatably mounted in the distal dielectric tip, and an RF connector on the hub is couplable to the RF current contact in the handpiece when the hub is secured to the handpiece. A drive mechanism in the hub mechanically couples to the hook electrode, and drive mechanism engages a rotational component in the motor drive unit when the hub is secured to the handpiece. The drive mechanism converts rotational motion from the rotational component into axial reciprocation and transmits the axial reciprocation to the hook electrode to axially displace the hook electrode between a non-extended position and an extended position relative to the dielectric tip.Type: GrantFiled: December 3, 2020Date of Patent: December 17, 2024Assignee: Relign CorporationInventors: Aaron Germain, Kyle Klein, Steffan Benamou, Jeffrey Norton, Jacob Tonkel

Patent number: 12042167Abstract: An arthroscopic device is used with a hand piece having a motor drive with a rotating drive shaft. An elongate probe extending along a longitudinal axis and includes a proximal hub on a proximal end. The proximal hub detachably couples to the hand piece, and an operable-closeable jaw structure is disposed on a distal end of the elongate probe. A conversion mechanism carried by the hub converts a rotational motion of the motor drive shaft to a longitudinal motion of an actuator member. The actuator member drives the jaw structure between jaw-open and jaw-closed positions to resect bone and other hard tissues.Type: GrantFiled: September 29, 2021Date of Patent: July 23, 2024Assignee: Relign CorporationInventors: Aaron Germain, Evan Nessim, Jeffrey Norton

Patent number: 11622784Abstract: Arthroscopic cutters are used for resecting tissues, such as meniscal tissues, in meniscectomies or other arthroscopic procedures. The arthroscopic cutters have a shaft assembly with openable-closeable jaws at a working end of the shaft. A handpiece having a motor drive may be detachably coupled to a hub on a hub end of the handpiece. Patent number: 11352776Abstract: Provided herewith is a system for assembling a temporary structure using a plurality of separate members. A first member has ends at opposite sides of an elongated body portion, with notches on the top and bottom sides of each end. A second member has ends with notches formed on opposite between the ends. These notches enable the first and second members to engage with other such separate members. A third member has a triangular shape that functions as a roof truss with opposing sloped surfaces and an underside. A pair of truss notches is formed at positions corresponding to the notches of the first member, for each engaging with one of the plurality of separate members. The third member also includes feature hooks, formed on the sloped surfaces, for engaging with a fourth member defined by a planar roofing material having a plurality of holes.Type: GrantFiled: April 3, 2020Date of Patent: June 7, 2022Assignee: THE STEP 2 COMPANY, LLCInventor: John Jeffrey Norton

Patent number: 11334925Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for normalized asset valuation and secure storage of information associated with such normalized asset valuation. In one example, a method obtains two or more asset valuation models for a given asset, wherein at least two of the two or more asset valuation models are generated using different asset valuation algorithms, and then converts one or more values in each of the two or more asset valuation models into a common valuation form such that the two or more asset valuation models are converted into two or more normalized valuation models. The common valuation form may be in the form of a cryptocurrency. The method may also combine the two or more normalized valuation models to form a single normalized valuation for the given asset. Still further, the method may store valuation information associated with the converting step in a secure storage system, e.g., a distributed ledger system.Type: GrantFiled: February 28, 2018Date of Patent: May 17, 2022Assignee: EMC IP Holding Company LLCInventors: Stephen J. Patent number: 11205229Abstract: A set of valuations is obtained for a set of assets of a given enterprise. The enterprise has a plurality of groups associated therewith, and each of the valuations is computed using a multi-dimensional model configured to generate cross-group impact values with respect to each asset and two or more of the groups associated with the enterprise. One or more storage locations within a storage infrastructure associated with the enterprise to store the assets are determined based on the valuations for the assets. For example, the one or more storage locations may be determined based on a content balancing process that computes an optimal storage location to store each asset in order to minimize overall cost to the enterprise.Type: GrantFiled: October 30, 2017Date of Patent: December 21, 2021Assignee: EMC IP Holding Company LLCInventors: Stephen Todd, Jeffrey Norton
