A first power distribution component and a second power distribution component are connected to a busway system including a busway. Whether first electrical power of the first power distribution component and second electrical power of the second power distribution component meet one or more conditions is determined. In response to a condition of the one or more conditions not being met, supply of electrical power from the second power distribution component to the busway system is inhibited.

Abstract: A method executed by an electronic device to optimize resource utilization while processing media workflows by a video streaming platform is disclosed. In one embodiment, a request to initiate a set of training sessions is received, and for each training session, a set of training workflows to be processed is initiated and a task graph for each training workflow is created. Then a worker of the video streaming platform is assigned to each training session. The raw performance data from each assigned worker is then collected, and a platform performance profile is generated based on the raw performance data from the each assigned worker. The platform performance profile is used to predict resource requirements of media workflows to be processed by the video streaming platform. A system to perform the method and a storage medium storing instructions to perform the method are disclosed too.

Only one enabled operating system at a time has control of hardware resources of the computing device. Each disabled operating system has its device drivers disabled. The drivers may be disabled by stopping device driver messages to devices at a firmware layer unassociated with any operating system. The drivers may be disabled by having their associated operating system dynamically unload them when the operating system is disabled. In some instances, the drivers may be modified to include a “stop” control that tells the driver to stop communicating with its associated device, and a “resume” control that tells the driver to resume communication. When an operating system is disabled, the operating system may send a “stop” message to its device drivers. Drivers associated with messages passed between operating systems may remain enabled.

Abstract: A method and system are provided for distributing a computing experience, which includes a user-interface component and one or more media components, to one or more endpoints via a communications network. The method includes communicating the user-interface component and the one or more media-experience components though separate communications channels instead of a single channel. The user-interface component is reunited and synchronized with the media-experience component at an endpoint where it can be remotely observed and controlled.
