  • Publication number: 20220338609
Abstract: Articles are described herein. An example article may comprise a first surface comprising a first lattice. The example article may comprise a second surface at least partially spaced from the first surface. The second surface may comprise a second lattice. The first surface and the second surface may define a cavity therebetween. The first surface and the second surface may be formed as a unitary body. • Publication number: 20220332567
Abstract: Articles (100, 200, 300, 400) are described herein. An example article may comprise a first surface (404) comprising a first lattice. The example article may comprise a second surface (406) at least partially spaced from the first surface (404) and having at least one common terminal connection point with the first surface (404). The first surface (404) may comprise a second lattice. The first surface (404) and the second surface (406) may define a cavity (407) therebetween. The first surface (404) and the second surface (406) may be capable of being deformed from a first state to a second state under a compression force to constrict a volume of the cavity. The first surface (404) and the second surface (406) may be capable of returning to the first state when the compression force is released.

  • Publication number: 20220074090
Abstract: A composite material for an insulation baffle comprising a baffle layer comprising a plurality of baffle shell structures coupled to one another by spacers, wherein each of the baffle shell structures comprises a baffle face layer and a baffle back layer that define a cavity therebetween, and wherein the spacers define a breathablity zone having a higher air permeability than one or more of the baffle face layer and a baffle back layer measured in accordance with ASTM D737.

  • Publication number: 20200215786
Abstract: A construct of selectively ventable insulation. The construct includes a substrate layer of a cohesive, bulky web of entangled fibers, with the web material defining a first side and an opposing second side of the substrate layer. The web material has an undulated form based on lapping of the web material. A covering layer is disposed adjacent to and coextensively over the first side of the substrate layer. A plurality of slits are formed in the covering layer. The slitted covering layer is configured so that when it is in a first condition, the slits are closed, and when in a relatively tensioned second condition, the slits become open perforations through the covering layer, thereby allowing venting of air or other fluid from a side of the covering layer that is adjacent the first side of the substrate layer.

  • Patent number: 10442155
Abstract: In some embodiments, the inventive subject matter is directed to an arrangement of discrete elements of fill material on a substrate consisting of a sheet material wherein the discrete elements are fixed relative to the sheet material by pilings, fusion, and/or entanglement to fix the insulating elements in a layered arrangement over the sheet material. A second sheet of material may be used to create a sandwiched assembly of the discrete elements. In some embodiments, the inventive subject matter is generally directed to discrete elements of fill material that are engaged together to form a cohesive sheet-like or layered arrangement of the elements.

  • Patent number: 10278434
Abstract: A garment for at least partially covering an arm and a shoulder of a wearer includes a torso portion and a sleeve. The torso portion is configured to at least partially cover the shoulder of the wearer. The sleeve is connected to the torso portion. The sleeve includes a releasable seam extending in a longitudinal direction along the sleeve. The releasable seam includes a first edge and a second edge with an opening to an interior of the sleeve defined between the first edge and the second edge of the releasable seam. The sleeve is configured to receive the arm of the wearer into the interior of the sleeve through the opening. A plurality of first fastening members are positioned along the first edge of the releasable seam and a plurality of second fastening members provided along the second edge of the releasable seam.
