Abstract: In general, this disclosure describes techniques for visually emphasizing information displayed on a computing device. In one example, a method that includes receiving a first portion of a document for display by the computing device, the first portion of the document including multiple elements separated by one or more delimiters. The method further includes dividing the multiple elements into a first set of one or more elements, each of which is displayable in its entirety at a time of display of the first portion of the document, and a second set of at least one element, the at least one element not displayable in its entirety at the time of display of the first portion of the document. The method further includes generating for display the first portion of the document, including visually emphasizing the first set of elements with respect to the second set of elements.

In one example, a method includes detecting, using at least one sensor of a computing device comprising a plurality of components, at least one indication of user contact with at least one surface of the computing device, wherein the at least one indication of user contact conforms with a touch pattern. The method further includes in response to detecting the at least one indication of user contact with at least one surface of the computing device, modifying a power consumption state of the computing device, wherein which components of the computing device receive power is based on the power consumption state.

Abstract: A mobile computing device can detect, for at least two respective user profiles of a plurality of user profiles, use of the component associated with the respective user profile. The mobile computing device can also determine, for each of the at least two respective user profiles, resource consumption caused by the detected use of the component over a period of time. The mobile computing device can further generate, for at least one of the at least two respective user profiles, a visual representation comprising an indication of the resource consumption caused by the detected use of the component associated with one of the respective user profiles, an indication of the component associated with the resource consumption associated with the one of the respective user profiles, and an indication of the one of the respective user profiles.
