Compounding device system, software and method for controlling the process of compounding admixtures
Patent number: 11911736Abstract: An exemplary compounding method of controlling a compounding device to prepare an admixture of at least two distinct material sources can include examining material source solutions for incompatibility of the ingredients and operating a first and a second pump to prevent one of the incompatible source solutions from entering a common flow path. The processing method can detect degradation of a fluid line by evaluating one or more of calibration error rate data, cumulative volumetric flow data, or cumulative pump operation data. The processing method can also selectively transfer a first group of source solutions using the first pump, receiving pump data from one or more sensors that sense actions of the pumps, applying fluid correction factors and calculating discrete pump movements, the pump movements being indicative of an amount of source solution displacement by a pump, and operating the pumps to selectively dispense the source solution amounts according to a preparation order.Type: GrantFiled: December 7, 2019Date of Patent: February 27, 2024Assignee: B. Publication number: 20200342969Abstract: A method includes receiving medical data records and computing a compliance score from an ideal treatment plan and an actual treatment, the actual treatment stored in medical data records. The method also includes determining whether the compliance score is greater than a compliance threshold and, in response to a determination that the compliance score is greater than the compliance threshold, storing a pass flag with a data record of the actual treatment. The method also includes, in response to a determination that the compliance score is less than the compliance threshold storing a fail flag with the data record of the actual treatment and controlling a graphical user display to indicate the data record includes the fail flag.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 21, 2020Publication date: October 29, 2020Inventors: Jeffrey Austin White, Gary T. Publication number: 20180335018Abstract: Systems and methods for determining turbine pressure related loads and for condition monitoring are provided. The systems and methods may measure at least one pressure differential on an airfoil. At least one pressure differential may be used to determine a root bending moment associated with the blade. Additionally or alternatively, at least one pressure differential may be used to determine a low-speed shaft moment for a turbine on which the blade is mounted. Still further, at least one pressure differential and/or moment may be used to gauge wear/fatigue and/or damage to one or more wind turbines. Based on this information, a controller may modify various operating characteristics of the turbine or blade to address the fatigue or damage.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 16, 2017Publication date: November 22, 2018Inventors: Nannan Cao, Jeffrey Austin Butterworth, Jonathon Paul Baker, Guojian Lin, Myron Floyd Miller

Patent number: 9506453Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, and methods are provided for actuating less than all of a plurality of load management devices on a wind turbine and/or a wind turbine blade. In some embodiments, the actuation sequences may be a root-to-tip, tip-to root, maximum-distributed-load, random, and/or a cycle-count actuation sequence. Further, a combination of two or more actuation sequences may be utilized to achieve a desired result. The system may choose an appropriate blade-based and/or rotor-based actuation sequence according to operating conditions, may alternate actuation sequences, and/or may employ different actuation sequences among the plurality of blades of a wind turbine. The load management devices may be actuated to different maximum heights and/or may be configured to be actuated to variable heights. The load management devices may be included as part of a distributed management system providing a corresponding controller and/or sensor at each load management device.Type: GrantFiled: March 15, 2013Date of Patent: November 29, 2016Inventors: Jonathon Paul Baker, Jeffrey Austin Butterworth, Jehan Zeb Khan, Guojian Lin, Edward Anthony Mayda, Erick James Rickards, Tobias Guenther Wehrhan

Patent number: 6981666Abstract: Improved methods for producing titanium dioxide slurries. The output from a micronizer is passed through a condenser to condense the steam and form an aqueous slurry of titanium dioxide, which can in most cases then be further concentrated as desired or which can be sold or used without further concentration, instead of passing the micronizer output to apparatus for separating the TiO2 from the steam, as is currently practiced in the art. The resultant slurry from the condenser is in a further refinement preferably sent to an agitated storage tank together with dispersant and anti-settling compounds to aid in preventing settling of the titanium dioxide solids out of the slurry. To help facilitate condensation of the steam/pigment mixture sent to the condenser, a portion of the condensed slurry is in yet a further refinement pumped from the slurry storage tank to a heat exchanger. The output from the heat exchanger is then fed to the condenser to facilitate the condensing of the steam in the condenser.Type: GrantFiled: July 7, 2003Date of Patent: January 3, 2006Assignee: Kerr-McGee Chemical, LLCInventors: Thomas Ian Brownbridge, Jeffrey Austin Engle

Patent number: 6502645Abstract: A towed agricultural implement frame comprises a main frame, and right and left wing frame sections that are coupled to one another by right and left pivot frames. The pivot frames are pivotally coupled to the main frame by right and left vertical pivots and to the wing frame sections by right and left horizontal pivots. The wing frame sections can be folded forwardly by right and left folding hydraulic cylinders. As the wing sections are folded forwardly towards the main frame draw bar, right and left rollers on the outermost ends of the wing frame sections engage right and left ramps mounted on the draw bar. Further retraction of the folding hydraulic cylinders lifts the outermost ends of the wing sections by moving the rollers up the ramps. Lift hydraulic cylinders located between the main frame and a wheel frame raise the main frame. The main frame also lifts the innermost ends of the right and left wing frame sections.Type: GrantFiled: November 7, 2000Date of Patent: January 7, 2003Assignee: Deere & CompanyInventors: Shane Julius Brueggen, Adam Richard Menze, Michael Jeffrey Austin
