    Abstract: An optical sensor with alternating layers of high refractive indices and low refractive indices which resist delamination through the use of an interlayer bonding layer between the high refractive index layers and the low refractive index layers. Further the use of an overlay that covers substantially all of the alternating layers of high refractive indices may be used. The interlayer bonding layer and the overlay does not detract from the response time or accuracy of the sensor.
