  • Patent number: 11938067
Abstract: A patient containment system for securing a patient to a patient transport apparatus, comprising a first lower strap and a second lower strap. Each of the first lower strap and the second lower strap have a thigh region, a waist region, and a connection region arranged between the thigh region and the waist region. A first connector is coupled to the connection region of the first lower strap. A second connector is coupled to the connection region of the second lower strap, and is configured to releasably attach to the first connector to at least partially limit movement of the first lower strap relative to the second lower strap. The connection region defines a connection width, and the thigh region defines a thigh width larger than the connection width.

  • Publication number: 20240079015
Abstract: Methods for generating an object based audio program, renderable in a personalizable manner, and including a bed of speaker channels renderable in the absence of selection of other program content (e.g., to provide a default full range audio experience). Other embodiments include steps of delivering, decoding, and/or rendering such a program. Rendering of content of the bed, or of a selected mix of other content of the program, may provide an immersive experience. The program may include multiple object channels (e.g., object channels indicative of user-selectable and user-configurable objects), the bed of speaker channels, and other speaker channels. Another aspect is an audio processing unit (e.g., encoder or decoder) configured to perform, or which includes a buffer memory which stores at least one frame (or other segment) of an object based audio program (or bitstream thereof) generated in accordance with, any embodiment of the method.

  • Publication number: 20230278860
Abstract: A process and system for generating hydrogen gas are described, in which water is electrolyzed to generate hydrogen and oxygen, and a feedstock including oxygenate(s) and/or hydrocarbon(s), is non-autothermally catalytically oxidatively reformed with oxygen to generate hydrogen. The hydrogen generation system in a specific implementation includes an electrolyzer arranged to receive water and to generate hydrogen and oxygen therefrom, and a non-autothermal segmented adiabatic reactor containing non-autothermal oxidative reforming catalyst, arranged to receive the feedstock, water, and electrolyzer-generated oxygen, for non-autothermal catalytic oxidative reforming reaction to produce hydrogen. • Publication number: 20230097385
Abstract: A spray pyrolysis system and method are described for manufacture of mixed metal oxide compositions, e.g., mixed metal oxide catalyst compositions having utility for gas processing applications such as hydrogenation, dehydrogenation, reduction, and oxidation. Mixed metal oxide automotive exhaust catalyst compositions produced by such system and method achieve a substantial reduction in temperatures required for removal of automotive exhaust pollutant species, as compared to catalyst produced by conventional batch precipitation techniques. The spray pyrolysis system and method enable catalytic metal(s) to be integrally incorporated in the mixed metal oxide composition, thereby obviating a separate catalytic metal impregnation operation.

  • Publication number: 20220185496
Abstract: An aircraft emergency power unit (EPU) includes a battery powered subsystem that replaces toxic hydrazine fuel use. The battery of the battery powered subsystem is utilized to supply power to an aircraft electrical system in the event of a failure of the EPU turbine-powered generator. The battery of the battery powered subsystem is also utilized to supply power to an electric hydraulic motor pump in the event of a failure of the EPU turbine-powered hydraulic pump (or to augment the output of the EPU-turbine-powered hydraulic pump). The battery of the battery powered subsystem is capable of simultaneously powering the electrical system and the electric hydraulic motor pump or of powering either one of the electrical system and electric hydraulic motor pump independently based upon aircraft fault conditions. Intermittent operation of the electrical system and/or the electric hydraulic motor pump in an intermittent fashion on an as-needed basis is also possible.
