    Abstract: A punching bag mount which reduces trauma on the structure which the mount is attached to. A punching bag is attached to a connector on the mount which is typically repeatedly punched. The mount utilizes springs and flexible strips arranged in a radial pattern in order to absorb the energy of the blows, thereby reducing the amount of energy transferred to the structure. The mount would typically mount into floor beams of the floor above the room in which the mount and punching bag is installed.
