  • Publication number: 20240144150
Abstract: A management server measures network activity of user devices to determine activities of the users associated with each user device. The management server generates digital model personas corresponding to the users based on one or more activities of the user. The management server clusters the digital model personas to generate user groups based on similar activities, and compares a first digital model persona from a first user with at least one second digital model persona.

  • Publication number: 20240146824
Abstract: A network management system tests the availability of a network resource before a user performs a task with the network resource. The system measures network activity of a user performing one or more tasks. The network activity includes communication between a user device of the user and each network resource associated with a corresponding task performed by the user. The system also generates a digital model persona of the user based on the tasks performed by the user, and determines a schedule of the tasks performed the user. Each particular task is associated with a corresponding execution time for the user. The system further configures the digital model persona to test the network resource associated with each corresponding task at a testing time that is a predetermined length of time prior to the execution time for the user.

  • Publication number: 20220110309
Abstract: A trap for certain insect pests may be configured to be particularly suitable for bedbugs and take the form of a foldable pitfall bedbug trap. The pitfall trap walls extend vertically upwardly at an angle and are sufficiently rough to permit bedbugs to climb to an upper edge of the trap, whereas the inner surfaces of the pitfall trap walls have been treated with a smooth material, such as being laminated, causing bedbugs at the upper edge to fall upon initiating contact with the inner pitfall walls and their smooth characteristics. The resultant foldable pitfall bedbug trap is relatively inexpensive to produce and easily user-deployable.

  • Publication number: 20160227753
Abstract: Hollow body insect traps with a continuous sidewall and a detachable base defining a truncated pyramid or a truncated cone shape, wherein the apex of the truncated cone or pyramid has a top surface defining an inlet communicating the interior of the hollow body with the exterior environment. Package systems, accessory packages, insect trapping kits and methods for monitoring insects are also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20150157003
Abstract: Embodiments described herein comprise an apparatus and method for controlling and monitoring a mosquito misting system. The apparatus includes a chemical reservoir, a delivery system, a spray system, one or more sensors, a communication network and a misting management unit. The sensors may detect normal and abnormal operations of the misting system and send this data to the misting management unit. The misting management unit may then analyze the data and determine the problem. If the problem can be fixed without personnel, the misting management unit may simply adjust the system and fix the problem. If the problem requires personnel, the system may automatically schedule the service call based on a number of criteria.

  • Publication number: 20130047497
Abstract: A system and method for controlling the breeding of insects is provided. The system may have a larvacide release device. The larvacide release device may have a housing, a reservoir, and an actuator. The reservoir may be configured to contain a larvacide for impairing the ability of mosquitoes to breed. The actuator may be configured to release the larvacide from the reservoir and into a water system.

  • Patent number: 5848543
Abstract: A strip mill using movable coiling furnaces that are in a first position horizontally aligned with the pass line eliminates the need to deflect the strip into the furnaces. In a second position the movable furnaces are displaced from the pass line to allow strip to pass without obstruction. The roller table is also movable to permit the furnaces to align with the pass line but may be aligned with the pass line when the furnaces are displaced.

  • Patent number: 5836759
Abstract: A drop-out conveyor transports heated slabs from a pusher-type slab reheat furnace to a roller table. The drop-out conveyor comprises at least one reciprocating carriage or slab cart movable between a first slab loading position and a second slab discharge position. A track is provided for supporting each carriage between the loading position and the discharge position. A reciprocating mechanism drives the cart between the first position and the second position. A slab receiving mechanism is attached to the carriage for receiving and transporting the slab thereon. The drop-out conveyor provides for transferring the slab from the slab receiving mechanism to the roller table.

  • Patent number: 5752404
Abstract: An improved roll shifting system for rolling mills comprising a pair of work rolls positioned on each side of the rolling plane, a pair of upright frame posts defining an opening in which chock guides are mounted facing the opening and chocks on each axial end of each roll. The chock guides have upper and lower leg portions extending outwardly from the frame posts upon which box slides are mounted. Hydraulic pistons and cylinders connected between the distal end of the box slides and the distal end of each leg move the box slides, thus moving the chocks carrying the work rolls.
