Abstract: Methods and systems for indexing programs are described. In accordance with one embodiment, program data associated with a program recorded on a first entertainment system is processed sufficient to create one or more signatures. The signatures define points of reference that can be utilized to synchronize timecodes associated with other recorded versions of the program from which the signatures were created. One or more indices are created and associated with the program from which the signatures were created. An index file can be created and can contain the created indices as well as the created signatures. A client system that receives the index file can use the signatures to synchronize the timecode on its recorded version of the program with a timecode of the program from which the signatures were created. Once the timecodes are synchronized, the client system can locate the same indices on its recorded version of the program.

Abstract: An interactive application uses Digital Video Record (DVR) features to create one or more video segments and associated indexes from broadcast television programming. The video segments and associated indexes may be obtained from independent sources and, in any event, are used by the application to create an enhanced programming viewing experience.

Abstract: Disclosed is single piece molded resin chair shell comprised of a seat member, a back member, and a pair of connecting torsion links. The back of the seat member and the bottom of the back member are separated by a collapsed elliptical shaped opening extending between the connecting torsion links. Each connecting torsion link is comprised of a curved, substantially U-shaped channel preferably provided with a plurality of web members projecting from the base of the channel whereby the connecting torsion links torsionally control the deflection of the back member relative to the seat member when pressure is applied against the back member by the user of the chair.

Abstract: Tilt control for a back support and height control for the back support and a seat for a chair or the like are provided by a gas cylinder actuator having a cam surface and pivotally mounted so that the cam surface activates the gas cylinder. A blocker plate is pivotally mounted for movement between one position in which it prevents tilting of the back support and another position in which tilting is permitted. The actuator and blocker plate are coupled together so that pivotal movement of one is accompanied by pivotal movement of the other.

Abstract: A support for a table top that is positioned upon a pedestal, to prevent tilting of the table top. A pin-holding plate, secured to the underside of the table top, includes a plurality of pins attached thereto which extend downwardly and which are slidably positioned within corresponding sleeves held by a plate positioned within a recess in the top of a pedestal.
