  • Patent number: 9859722
Abstract: A battery management method for one or more batteries in a healthcare delivery system is provided. The method includes determining when the healthcare delivery system is drawing power from the one or more batteries and controlling a display unit coupled to the controller to display an initial number corresponding to a time remaining on battery (TROB) when the healthcare delivery system is drawing power from the one or more batteries. The method also includes determining if the TROB is within a reserve range extending up to a reserve range maximum that is less than a maximum TROB, changing the TROB according to an operational state of the healthcare delivery system if the TROB is greater than the reserve range maximum, and decreasing the TROB to count down the TROB without regard for the operational state of the healthcare delivery system if the TROB is less than the reserve range maximum.

  • Patent number: 6373584
Abstract: A system for producing a finished printed product exhibiting print specific conditions by automatically translating print or job specific conditions to an appropriate set of machine specific functions associated with printing press machines and auxiliaries so as to manipulate and obtain a final desired set of print specific conditions. The system includes software control means for controlling the printing press machines and auxiliaries, and an input device allowing a pressman to enter print specific data into the system.

  • Patent number: 5024282
Abstract: An electronic postal scale measures the weight of an item in metric or in avoirdupois units, at the user's election. The scale also calculates a postal or shipping rate for the item, in accordance with a stored rate table defined in either metric or avoirdupois units. When the user selects a class of service, the scale determines whether there is a stored rate table for that class in the currently elected weight units. If not, the scale automatically changes to the other weight units and calculates a rate according to a stored table in those other units.
