  • Patent number: 11920035
Abstract: This disclosure concerns electrically conducting poly(pyrazoles). The concept of oligomerizing and polymerizing substituted aminopyrazole derivatives combined with a monomer activation procedure involving base-mediated conversion of the protonated pyrazole ring nitrogen to amine salt was developed. This disclosure concerns the specific chemistries needed for the synthesis of a pyrazole monomer used in the polymer synthesis. The procedure used for blending the novel polypyrazoles with other compounds needed for construction of solar cells for testing was developed. This disclosure concerns the concept of using these types of heteroatom-rich, electron-deficient oligomers or polymers as n-dopable or p-dopable electron acceptors in photovoltaic cells. This disclosure concerns synthesizing the starting monomer compounds and polypyrazoles.

  • Patent number: 10583498
Abstract: An expanding collet device can selectively clamp a workpiece to a workpiece support and can include an arbor, expandable collet and threaded screw actuator. The threaded screw actuator mechanism can include a support, drawbar, socket and a pair of thrust bearings. The drawbar can be connected to the collet and can extend into the support. An outer circumferential portion of the drawbar can oppose and be spaced away from an inner circumferential portion of the support. The socket can surround the drawbar and can include external threads engaging internal threads on the support such that rotation of the socket relative to the support displaces the socket in the axial direction. The socket, support, and drawbar can be configured such that rotation of the socket relative to the support displaces the drawbar in the axial direction such that the drawbar moves the collet between the released position the clamped position.

  • Patent number: 10010946
Abstract: Some embodiments are directed to a fixing apparatus that includes a threaded adaptor, an arbor having a flange portion and a shaft portion, and a draw cylinder disposed such that rotation of the threaded adaptor moves the draw cylinder in axially upward and downward directions. A collet can be disposed around a periphery of the arbor so as to be coaxial with the draw cylinder, such that movement of the draw cylinder in the axially downward direction causes the draw cylinder to contact the collet and thereby cause the collet to also move in the axially downward direction. The collet can include axially extending channels that define fingers therebetween and interior coaxial surfaces that are configured to communicate with exterior coaxial surfaces of the arbor such that axially downward movement of the collet moves the fingers in a radially outward direction to thereby increase an exterior diameter of the collet.

  • Patent number: 7263898
Abstract: A gear holding fixture is provided so that the appropriate position upon a gear tooth may be placed in line with an indenting device on testing equipment. The fixture includes a base that supports a movable rack, the rack including a plurality of teeth. The gear being tested is supported upon the movable rack in a way wherein the teeth on the gear intermesh with the teeth on the rack. The fixture also includes a gear axle restraint that is selectively movable depending on whether the gear is being tested or being replaced. The gear axle restraint in a gear testing position abuts an axle that supports the gear and extends along the gear's axis of rotation. This reduces the gear to only rotational movement. Thus, as the rack is moved incrementally along the base, the teeth on the rack drive the teeth of the gear, causing the gear to rotate.
