The marked entered information may be corrected by erasing the written information with a pencil eraser and writing new information on the paper with a pencil. Information may also be marked into a RFID circuit or have the marked information cause the RFID circuit to perform some function by utilizing a standard ink jet computer printer to print lines on paper equipped with a RFID type circuit, by having the printed lines perform the function of wires.     Abstract: A method that incorporates the recipients' comments to a document while providing an audit trail of the recipients' comments. An editor prepares an original draft document for comment. Then the editor electronically sends a copy of the original draft to the program, which identifies and registers the document to the program. Then the document is distributed to individual recipients. The individual recipients are requested to send their comments to the program, via email, fax or voicemail, etc. As commented documents are returned and registered to the editor, the comments on each page are identified and tied to the name of the recipient. The editor may now use the program to review the original document and all changes for each page, presented simultaneously by the program. All of the comments of all of the recipients may be presented simultaneously on one screen, allowing rapid comparison of comments and ensuring all comments about a page are seen at the same time.

    Abstract: A system and method for bridging existing paper-based invoicing methods to electronic methods that is simple to use and cost effective is disclosed. A billing party generates a transaction identification number in the process of preparing an invoice and sends the transaction identification number to the consumer via a physical mail piece or e-mail. The invoice data is stored in a standard format in a secure server along with the transaction identification number. The consumer, upon receipt of the physical mail piece, inputs the transaction identification number to a computer, such as, for example, by scanning, accesses the secure server and sends the transaction identification number to retrieve the invoice data. The invoice data is then automatically entered into the consumer's software systems.

    Abstract: This invention is a system that enables handicapped and disabled individuals to control and use office photocopiers. The foregoing is accomplished by coupling a interface to a diagnostic communication port on the photocopier. The diagnostic port may be used to simulate the pressing of keys on the photocopier control panel. A software program running on a personal computer is coupled to the interface so that the interface may duplicate the actions of the photocopier control panel. A voice, keyboard and touch screen interface is added to the software program to permit several keys to be issued with a single phrase or touch. The user may use voice or the keyboard or the touch screen or any combination of the above to operate the photocopier. The addition of wireless audio may also be utilized to allow hands-free operation of the photocopier. An audio voice feedback provides information about what command was exactly executed. The system audibly reports the status of the photocopier.

    Abstract: A carrier for holding a conventional envelope in a predetermined position to enable printing near an edge of the envelope with a conventional printer is disclosed. The carrier includes a sheet-like substrate having a leading edge, a trailing edge, a closure flap receiving slot between the leading and trailing edges, and means for holding at least a portion of a bottom edge of the envelope to the substrate. A method according to the present invention includes the steps of providing an envelope, providing a carrier for holding the envelope in a predetermined position, and providing a conventional printer. A closure flap of the envelope is inserted through a closure flap receiving slot in the carrier. Next, a bottom edge of the envelope is held against the carrier. Then, the carrier and the envelope are passed through the conventional printer, which prints on the envelope.

The user supplies the name and address to which the mail piece is to be sent and the kiosk dispenses a finished mail piece to the user with the address printer thereon. A feature of the kiosk is that it stores the mail piece forms on a roll, but delivers a linear mail piece to the user. In an alternative to the invention, the kiosk dispenses a ticket to the user that can be used in activities of the environment in which the kiosk is found.

    Abstract: A fireplace heat exchanger which may be used in conjunction with a fireplace screen, such as a glass screen. The heat exchanger comprises a lower header fed by a blower drawing in room air and delivering this air to a plurality of C-shaped tubes in the fireplace capable of supporting logs. These tubes deliver the air to an upper header, from which the air is fed downwardly by a central C-shaped tube to a room delivery chamber below the lower header. The delivery chamber is part of a lower support on which a glass or other fireplace screen may be placed. The air is heated during both its upward and downward travel and is delivered at floor level.
