  • Publication number: 20240066643
Abstract: Embodiments of the apparatus relate to a template used to assist in the removal of broken bolts from an intake manifold mounting fasteners. The apparatus includes a template having a plurality of apertures. When the template is used with a cylinder head, one or more of the apertures is designated as an insertion aperture and one or more of the apertures is designated as a connection apertures. Insertion apertures align with bolt holes of the cylinder head containing broken bolts, and connection apertures align with empty bolt holes of the cylinder head that may be used to secure the template to the cylinder head. The template is used to guide a drill bit or other tools through the insertion apertures as the drill bit or other tool performs work to remove a broken bolt within the cylinder head.

  • Publication number: 20230141758
Abstract: Embodiments relate to a removal adapter configured to engage a fuel injector secured to an engine and to allow for the removal of the fuel injector from the engine without damaging the fuel injector. The removal adapter is slid over the fuel injector and engages the fuel injector via a ridge. The engagement via the ridge places most, if not all, of the force on the strongest part of the fuel injector.

  • Patent number: 11498193
Abstract: Disclosed is an extraction tool including a top plate having a top plate force rod hole and a plurality of top plate push rod holes. The extraction tool includes a bottom plate having a bottom plate force rod hole, a plurality of bottom plate push rod holes, and a plurality of bottom plate bolt holes. The tool includes a force rod configured to slidably engage the top plate force rod hole and threadingly engage the bottom plate force rod hole. The tool includes a plurality of push rods, each push rod configured to threadingly engage a top plate push rod hole and slidably engage a bottom plate bolt hole. The bottom plate is attached to the hub bearing assembly and rotating the force rod will advance the bottom plate and the hub bearing assembly towards the top plate, thereby extracting the hub bearing from a knuckle.
