Abstract: The present invention relates to a colored particles and to detergent compositions containing them that can be used to impart a hueing effect to fabrics contacted with these colored particles in aqueous solution. The invention enables the effective hueing while alleviating problems of staining or spotting by combining in the color particle, hueing agent, preferably pigment, binding agent and suspending agent.

Abstract: A process for forming a low density detergent granule has the steps of providing from about 0.1% to about 6% of a hydrotrope, providing from about 22% to about 50% crutcher mix moisture, providing from about 0.2% to about 8% of a water-soluble polymer with a molecular weight of at least about 10,000 g/mol, providing from about 2% to about 20% sodium silicate having a SiO2:Na2O ratio of at least about 2:1, and the balance of adjunct crutcher ingredients, mixing the hydrotrope, crutcher mix moisture, polymer, silicate, and adjunct crutcher ingredients in a crutcher to form a slurry, injecting a gas into the slurry at a pressure of from about 6,000 kPa to about 13,000 kPa, and at a rate of from about 0.01% to about 0.25% and forming the slurry into a detergent granule. The slurry is substantially free of zeolite builder and phosphate builder and the crutcher temperature is maintained at from about 40° C. to about 95° C.

Abstract: A hand dishwashing composition includes from 0.1% to 90% of a sudsing surfactant, an effective amount of a suds suppresser, and the balance adjunct ingredients. A method for reducing the amount of water used during the rinsing step of a hand dishwashing process includes the steps of providing the hand dishwashing composition described herein, applying it to a dish and washware, wherein after the application step the dish comprises suds thereupon, and rinsing the suds from the dish with water.

Abstract: An improved process having the steps of forming a low organic slurry in a mixer, pumping the low organic slurry to a spray drying tower, spraying the low organic slurry in the spray drying tower, drying the low organic slurry in the spray drying tower to form a low organic granule, and processing the low organic granule to form a detergent composition. The low organic slurry contains less than about 10%, by weight of the low organic slurry, of an organic material.

Abstract: Antimicrobial detergent compositions especially suitable for manual diswashing comprise 0.001-2% iodine ions complexed with an amphoteric surfactant, 5-90% uncomplexed surfactant selected from the group consisting of anionic surfactants, nonionic surfactants, amphoteric surfactants and mixture thereof, and 5-50% water. The detergent compositions have pH of 7-10. Preferably at least a portion of the iodine ions are added as an iodine in the form of a compound selected from the group consisting of KI, NaI, KOI, NaOI and Ca(0I)2.
