  • Publication number: 20120108160
Abstract: Embodiments of a noise reduction system for use in heating, ventilating, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVACR) systems are provided. The noise reduction system may include a barrier to be placed over an air inlet of an HVACR base unit. The barrier, consisting of two rows of equally spaced structures, may permit the passage of air therethrough while preventing the escape of noise from the base unit. The noise reduction system may also include one or more resonance chambers placed atop the base unit and a structure placed adjacent the base unit. Noise coming from the base unit may be redirected by the structure toward the resonance chambers, which are configured to attenuate the noise.

  • Publication number: 20120089331
Abstract: Systems and methods for determining a destination location from a communication are described. One embodiment of a method includes receiving electronic communications data from a mobile communications device, at a computing device. The electronic communications data is parsed to identify a partial address term of interest related to the destination location in the electronic communications data. A position of the destination location is determined from the partial address term of interest. Routing data of a vehicle from a current location of the vehicle to the destination location is determined and provided to a user of the vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20110289326
Abstract: A digital file is associated with a security attribute in which identification data for a physical key is stored. The digital file content is encrypted, and may not be decrypted by a receiving computer unless a removable physical key that can be associated with the receiving computer includes identification data which matches the identification data stored in the file's security attribute. The digital content encrypted in the file may be compressed, and a portion of the security attribute may also be encrypted. When a portion of the security attribute is encrypted, the receiving computer may decrypt only the encrypted portion of the security attribute unless the identification data of the security attribute matches the identification data of a physical key physically or wirelessly coupled to the receiving computer. Improved security and reduction of pirating of the digital content are therefore provided.

  • Patent number: 7928021
Abstract: A system for and method of processing, i.e., annealing semiconductor materials. By controlling the time, frequency, variance of frequency, microwave power density, wafer boundary conditions, ambient conditions, and temperatures (including ramp rates), it is possible to repair localized damage lattices of the crystalline structure of a semiconductor material that may occur during the ion implantation of impurities into the material, electrically activate the implanted dopant, and substantially minimize further diffusion of the dopant into the silicon. The wafer boundary conditions may be controlled by utilizing susceptor plates (4) or a water chill plate (12). Ambient conditions may be controlled by gas injection (10) within the microwave chamber (3).

  • Patent number: 7789254
Abstract: A tamper-evident, re-closable container is disclosed, comprising a container body, having a neck portion with a cammed projection, and a mouth rimmed by a lip and a closure having a top portion with a groove to rotatably engage and seal against the lip of the container, and a bottom portion having a contour formed therein to rest under the cammed projection. A breakable tamper-evident section circumferentially connects the top portion of the container to the bottom portion of the container and connecting means connects the top portion to the bottom portion. Rotation of the closure around the mouth of the container causes the cammed projection to force the bottom portion downwardly to break the tamper-evident section. A tamper-evident closure is also described for use with a re-closable container, having a top portion that can be rotated around a mouth of the container to cause a tamper-evident section to break.

  • Patent number: 7777615
Abstract: A system for assisting the alignment of a hitch pin mounted on the rear of a vehicle with a hitch socket mounted on the front of a trailer. The system includes a camera mounted to the vehicle and positioned to capture an image rearwardly of the vehicle. A video display is contained within the vehicle which displays the image captured by the camera. A processor is also contained in the vehicle which calculates a preferred path of travel of the vehicle to position the hitch pin in alignment with the hitch socket. The processor is programmed to provide instructions to an operator of the vehicle of the required steering to maintain the vehicle on the preferred path of travel. The processor recalculates the preferred path of travel whenever the vehicle veers from the preferred path of travel by a preset threshold.

  • Publication number: 20100159266
Abstract: The invention relates to can body stock having opposed surfaces. The can body stock has a core layer, a cladding layer at a first surface (intended to form an exterior surface of an eventual container body), and optionally a cladding layer at a second surface (intended to form an interior surface of an eventual container body). The cladding layer at the first surface is made of alloy AA3104 or AA3004 (or a modified version of AA3004 or AA3104 containing more iron and optionally more silicon), and the core layer is an aluminum alloy having yield strength less than that of the aluminum alloy of the cladding layer at the first surface. The can body stock may be used to produce a container body by a method involving drawing and ironing, as well as die necking to reduce the diameter of the open end of the container body.

  • Patent number: 7716669
Abstract: An operating system architecture that provides a high level of system functionality in a multimedia console through the use of concurrent system applications, while reducing the lack of control that multimedia applications have while running on the console. At power ON, a predetermined amount of system resources are reserved within which the concurrent system applications execute. The multimedia applications are afforded control over the unreserved system resources and do not need to support system functionalities as the concurrent system applications provide system functionalities to end users.

  • Publication number: 20100107719
Abstract: The exemplary embodiments provide a die set comprising a knockout punch and a necking die for necking-in a metal container preform. In an axial direction from front to back of the die, the die has an inwardly tapering in-feed surface, a forming radius, a generally cylindrical land having a die bore diameter, a discharge surface and a relief surface having a diameter larger than the die bore diameter. The land has an axial length of less than 0.1 inch. It is believed that such a length limits the number of metal contacts with the land (rebounds between the knockout punch and the land) to one or two as a metal container preform is necked in the die in conjunction with a knockout punch having a punch diameter that provides a gap between the knockout punch and the land. While the gap may be larger than the topwall thickness of the metal of the preform within the gap, it may alternatively be the same as, or smaller than, the thickness (by up to 10%), to effect re-resizing of the container wall.
