  • Publication number: 20150284737
Abstract: The invention provides methods for improving plant yield, particularly under nitrogen limiting conditions. According to the invention, applicants have discovered that modulating ACC synthase activity in plants improves yield of plants, even when grown under low nitrogen conditions. The same plants, while demonstrating improved yield over non-modified plants, exhibited no deleterious effects under normal nitrogen conditions. The invention further provides methods using recombinant expression cassettes, host cells and transgenic plants.

  • Publication number: 20060126611
Abstract: A logical distributed server is generated for managing (Internet Protocol (IP) address allocation for an ad-hoc, self-forming peer-to-peer (P2P) network. The logical distributed server is generated according to messaging scheme where nodes on the P2P network allocate addresses for themselves and for clients connected to them. Each node implements a server that listens on the incoming client connections. Each node maintains data structures that represent the current state of an address database. Routing requests are fielded by the nodes from the clients and the messaging scheme is used to inform other nodes of its action so a consistent address space is maintained between all the nodes on the P2P network.

  • Publication number: 20060077985
Abstract: A mesh network is initiated by using multiple frequency bands for establishing communication between mesh nodes. In one aspect, a higher or lower frequency communication link may be established depending on the range between two mesh nodes. As the mesh network increases and decreases in density, and range and communication aspects change, a communication link may be change between the higher and lower frequency bands as necessary.

  • Patent number: 5845685
Abstract: A bag filler consisting of a single tubular member has a peripheral portion removed from one end thereof to form a hand grip while an opposing peripheral portion at the same end then forms a scoop, has its other end inserted into the open end of a bag to be filled, and the bag at both its ends is then turned about and within the associated ends of the tubular member so that an operator may with one hand hold both the open end of the bag and the hand grip of the tubular member for guiding the bag and bag filler into engagement with material from which the bag is to be filled, while the operator's other hand holds the bag and other end of the tubular member to propel the bag and bag filler.
