  • Publication number: 20210204527
Abstract: A segment for a modular floatation collar comprises a frame having a recessed compartment and a removable decking covering the recessed compartment. The frame is mounted on a floatation unit. There are a plurality of rigging hardpoints and a plurality of installation hardpoints disposed along the frame. A universal connection at each end of the frame allows the segment to be connected to an adjacent segment either linearly along a common axis or orthogonally at a right angle. The floatation unit extends between adjacent segments in the floatation collar.

  • Patent number: 6419526
Abstract: A multi-port modular jack including an outer housing part, inner housing parts arranged in the outer housing part to define plug-receiving receptacles receivable of mating plugs, and an optional shield surrounding the jack. The outer housing part having a top wall, a bottom wall and a front face having a mid-portion arranged substantially parallel to and between the top and bottom walls. The front face defines a first row of apertures between the mid-portion and the top wall and a second row of apertures between the mid-portion and the bottom wall. Each aperture in the first row has a plane of symmetry offset in relation to a plane of symmetry of each aperture in the second row such that only a portion of each aperture in the first row is directly opposite the opposed apertures in the second row. Vents are formed in the outer housing part to allow for the passage of air through the jack.

  • Patent number: 6250964
Abstract: A metallic shield for a jack, and a method for joining a shield to a jack using staking posts, comprising a plurality of planar panels, each for overlying an outer surface of a respective outer wall of the jack, a front one of the panels including at least one aperture for allowing passage of a plug therethrough. At least one of the panels has at least one cantilevered spring beam and at least one bifurcated grounding tab connected to each of the at least one spring beam. A post for mounting the jack is formed from the metallic shield material.

  • Patent number: 6196879
Abstract: A connector assembly for surface mounting on a substrate including a jack and an optional shield surrounding the jack. The jack includes a housing defining a plug-receiving receptacle, contact/terminal members having a contact portion situated in the receptacle, a terminal portion extending from the housing and adapted to be surface mounted to the substrate, and an intermediate portion between the contact portion and the terminal portion. The intermediate portions of the contact/terminals members are retained or entrapped in the housing in fixed positions such that the terminal portions of the contact/terminals members extend downward and rearward from the housing in a common plane. To this end, the housing includes channels in which the intermediate portions of the contact/terminal members are placed such that the terminal portions extend from the channels at an angle to a bottom surface of the housing.

  • Patent number: 5426198
Abstract: The present invention involves improved processes for the dehalogenation of 9.alpha.-halosteroids (I) ##STR1## to produce the corresponding 11.beta.-hydroxy steroids (II) ##STR2## which are known to be useful as pharmaceutical, where the improvements comprise (1) adding the 9.alpha.-halo steroid (I) to the chromium and (2) using catalytic amounts of chromium in the presence of a means of converting chromium (II) to chromium (III).
