  • Patent number: 11961879
Abstract: An IC includes a substrate including circuitry configured to provide a receiver or a transmitter circuit. A metal stack is over the semiconductor surface including a top metal layer and a plurality of lower metal layers. An isolation capacitor includes the top metal layer as a top plate that is electrically connected to a first node; and a top dielectric layer on the top plate with a top plate dielectric aperture. One of the plurality of lower metal layers provides a bottom plate that includes a plurality of spaced apart segments. A capacitor dielectric layer is between the top and bottom plate. The segments include a first segment electrically connected to a second node and at least a second segment electrically connected to a third node, with separation regions located between adjacent spaced apart segments. The top plate covers at least a portion of each of the separation regions.

  • Patent number: 8230446
Abstract: A computing system is provided with real-time capabilities so that the system is capable of running applications such that one or more real-time criteria are satisfied. An interrupt architecture of the computing system is disabled. The interrupt architecture generates interrupts sent to a firmware of the computing system in response to events. A different architecture is substituted within the computing system for the interrupt architecture. The different architecture is responsive to the events without violating the real-time criteria. In response to the events occurring, the different architecture causes one or more corrective actions to be performed.

  • Publication number: 20080195413
Abstract: A design structure embodied in a machine readable storage medium for at least one of designing, manufacturing, and testing a design is provided. The design structure can include an autonomic data processing system disposed in a product. The data processing system can include an autonomic element, and a warranty management client coupled to the autonomic element, the warranty management client comprising program code enabled to monitor the autonomic element for configuration changes to the autonomic element, and, responsive to detecting a configuration change to the autonomic element, to report the detected configuration change for evaluation in voiding a warranty for the product.
